Life is a long journey, where in each one of us crosses number of milestones. Every stoppage
teaches us a lot. I being the student of B.TECH, learnt a plethora of things and was being
bombarded with lots of learning, events, projects and seminars.
Learning comes from doing .To learn something one has to go through practical conditions
.Recognizing this fact the university has made it essential for B.tech Computer Science &
Engineering
This project report was prepared during Major project during this period, an effect was made to
understand the major project and to finish the project work assigned to us. This report lays special
emphasis on the operational work.
This project depicts the purpose of elaborating the analysis, Design and the implementation phases
of the above mentioned project. All the features that have been included in the implementation
have been clearly explained to make the project easy to understand.
 Abstract

The system Election Management System can be used to manage the data of all type of election
(Lok Sabha, Vidhan Sabha, Municipal Corporation). Security and auditability are some of the
defining advantages of EMS, a system that allows you to configure any type of automated election
in a flexible and practical way. Election Management System (EMS) is an application that
automatically generates all the tools needed to prepare and conduct an election. From candidates'
nominations, to voter registration and ballot design, EMS organizes the information in any given
country or region where an automated election process will be deployed with security, simplicity
and accuracy. EMS performs all administrative tasks related to the chosen election configuration,
such as: Contests and jurisdiction specification
Features of Election Management system
Ease of use. Election ware is an intuitive, easy-to-use application that streamlines workflow and
removes repetition.
Simultaneous Multiuser access. Election ware enables large jurisdictions to allow multiple
authorized personnel to simultaneously create poll media devices. Additionally, multiple teams of
election officials can work simultaneously on different elections.

Data Security. Election ware incorporates the latest in election security, including heightened
audit controls and change management processes that are built in to keep election data safe and
secure.
Polling stations, Candidate registration, Results collection, Results tabulation, Election results
publication. All election information set up by EMS can be used later by other Smartmatic
applications or devices during the course of the electoral event. EMS also establishes the
configuration files for each voting machine being deployed, and finally contributes to the creation
of reports and legal documents with the evaluation results of the systems performance.
