Julie was born in Dinuba, California, moved to San Mateo,
and graduated from San Mateo High School. In the senior
yearbook she was voted best dressed. She continued her
education at San Jose State University and later studied Interior
Design. She was a member of the American Society of Interior Designers. Over her 35-year
career, she created a thriving business and designed beautiful interiors for homes throughout
the San Francisco Bay Area.
Julie created a wonderful sense of home and a lovely place for her family and friends to
gather. Whether at the Alisal Guest Ranch or rafting the mighty Colorado River, or hiking
Half Dome, Julie was the ringmaster.
Julie and her loving husband Dennis sense of adventure led to travel and exploration of
all seven continents.
Julie is survived by her husband of 29 years Dennis; loving children: Shelly Amoroso (Luis)
of Marin, Josh Amoroso (Katie) of San Mateo, Kim McChane of San Francisco, Dena Heinze
(Chris) of San Mateo & Wendy Clark (Al) of Oakland; 7 grandchildren: Addison, Maggie,
Stefi, Frankie, Niki, Lucia & Pia; and brother Jack Kechichian of Foster City. Julie will be
missed by all.

Starting Monday, one westbound lane of Ralston Avenue
between Alameda de las Pulgas and Cipriani Boulevard will be
closed to traffic as PG&E crews begin construction on a
Belmont gas pipeline replacement project, according to the
utility.
Construction is slated to take place between 8:30 a.m. and
4:30 p.m. and electronic signs will mark the location of the
work.
The utility will replace 3,700 feet of 4-inch pipeline with
a 6-inch pipeline in an effort to increase the capacity of
Belmonts natural gas system, according to the utility.
Pacific Gas and Electric spokeswoman Andrea Menniti
confirmed the utility company would notify and stay in com-
munication with the 4,000 customers near the project site as
the project progresses, and any updates to traffic patterns
would be distributed widely.

Auto burglary suspect arrested at BART station


A BART police officer arrested a man at the Daly City sta-
tion on suspicion of auto burglary early Friday morning.
At about 2:30 a.m., an officer spotted the suspect burglar-
izing a vehicle in the St. Charles Avenue parking lot, accord-
ing to BART police.
The officer was able to arrest the man without incident on
suspicion of auto burglary and on two outstanding misde-
meanor property crime warrants out of Alameda County,
police said.
The suspect was taken to the San Francisco County Jail,
according to BART police.

40k runners expected at Bay to Breakers


About 40,000 people have registered to participate in
the 106th annual Alaska Airlines Bay to Breakers race in
San Francisco Sunday, staffers said.
The race starts at 8 a.m. at Howard Street near the San
Francisco Bay, finishing up at the breakers at Ocean
Beach. As ever, a multitude of wild costumes and running
groups are expected, as well as serious contenders.
"About 40,000 people are signed up to run," said staffer
Michael Fusaro. "We expect around 150,000 spectators."
According to the website, it's not too late to register.
Late registrants can't do so online, but can do so at the
event expo.
The expo will begin again Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Runners can pick up their race packets at the expo, which
is open to the public and features an array of fitness gear,
technology and nutrition.
Participants can sign up for a guaranteed parking pass
with Parking Panda by visiting the Bay to Breakers web-
site, http://baytobreakers.com/, Fusaro said.
