It's 1979, and New York's hottest A-listers are lining up for the opening of a floating casino and
discotheque. Also attending is a faded disco star, a sexy nightclub singer with her eleven-year-old
twins, a disaster expert, a feminist reporter, an older couple with a secret, a pair of young guys who
are looking for ladies, an untrustworthy businessman and a nun with a gambling addiction. What
begins as a night of boogie fever quickly changes to panic as the ship succumbs to multiple
disasters, such as earthquakes, tidal waves and infernos. As the night turns into day, everyone
struggles to survive and, quite possibly, repair the love that they've lost... or at least escape the killer
rats.

Our goal is to bring Long Island to the rest of the world. What do we mean? Well, we believe that
the entertainment industry would thrive out here in a place like Long Island (as many small
production companies and other large theaters have already seen). With our Theatrical division of
CK Productions, we hope to create a similar vibe to an O-Broadway Workshop house here in Long
Island to debut original scripts, shorts, plays, musicals, children's theatre & more. Part of what
makes Theatre in Long Island so special is the influence of the tight communities. Our Community
Theatre seasons are for all actors & artists to enjoy, work and create while putting on full scale
productions for you to watch. We hope you join us at the theater for one of our many shows. You
will not regret enjoying Broadway right here in your backyard.

The Theater
The Richie Applebaum Theater (located at CK Productions Inc. in Ronkonkoma, Long Island, New
York) is a black box styled theater with a 35 foot-long stage (larger than most typical black boxes).
The 165 seat theater is filled constantly with community theatre, youth productions and original
work that resembles that of a Broadway show.
The Goal
The goal with The Richie Applebaum Theater is to bring the industry into Long Island. We produce
original works with hopeful transfers to other Long Island Theaters, O-Broadway and potential
Regional or Tour premieres.
Richie Applebaum was one of Long Island's most powerful community theatre actors, directors and
teachers. Loved by family, friends and strangers alike, Richie Applebaum delighted every single
person whom he performed for and whom he met. In his honor, we dedicate this theater to one of
our most involved sta members, audience members & friends. We love you Richie.
