Meeting hosts can now pause and resume recordings in meetings where recordings are automatically started.
This option is enabled by the site administrator in the Cisco WebEx Administration Tool.
Improved User Interface for Locking WebEx Meetings
The user interface was enhanced to clarify locking and unlocking WebEx meetings to maintain consistency
with the Personal Room user interface:
The commands in the Meetings menu now say Lock Meeting and Unlock Meeting.
Locked meetings are indicated with a lock icon at the bottom and the tooltip text, This meeting is
locked.
Support for Microsoft Office 2013 and 2016 PowerPoint Notes Panel View
Presenters can now view the Notes panel when sharing Microsoft Office 2013 and 2016 PowerPoint
presentations.
Cisco WebEx Meeting Center Digital Signature
When downloading Cisco WebEx Meeting Center on Microsoft Windows XP SP3 and Windows Vista, you
may encounter a warning. These Windows versions cannot verify the publisher of Windows Installer (MSI)
files. If you try to open an MSI file, you will receive a security warning indicating the file does not have a
valid digital signature. We recommend you open the file only if you are certain it is safe.
New Video Layout Available for Video Systems
A new video layout called 1+N is available for users joining meetings using video systems. This new layout
dynamically adapts to meeting size by showing more and more users as they join.
It is added to the end of the list of available video layouts. The default video layout continues to be Active
Presence, though users can still use dual-tone multi-frequency signaling (DTMF) controls for far-end camera
controls (FECC) to switch to this new video layout.

Require Attendees to Have an Account for Instant Meetings
The option Require attendees to have an account on this website in order to join this meeting is now
working for instant meetings that hosts start with Meet Now and that use customized meeting templates.
When this option is on, only attendees who have accounts on the WebEx site can join meetings, including
instant meetings, and they must add a phone number and PIN in their audio preferences before joining from
audio devices.

Numeric Meeting Password for TSP Audio
For sites using third-party telephony service provider (TSP) integrated audio, the Numeric Meeting Password
feature is now available. This feature requires TelePresence video conferencing systems joining a Collaboration
Meeting Rooms (CMR) meeting to enter a numeric meeting password before joining. This feature must be
enabled by WebEx before a site can use it. When it is enabled, an option to control this feature appears in
WebEx Site Administration (the option is off by default). For TSP sites, numeric meeting password enforcement
applies only to video conferencing systems joining the meeting, and does not apply to call-in users.
Defaults for Call-In Number Options
For new customers who purchase a WebEx public switched telephone network (PSTN) audio option that
includes Global Toll services and Global Toll-Free services, the WebEx site administration options Assign
default call-in numbers, Allow users to set default call-in numbers, and Allow user access to teleconference
via global call-in numbers will now be on by default.
WebEx Meeting Center, WebEx Event Center, and WebEx Training Center
Enforcement of Limits for the Number of Invitations, Registrations, and Participants
To improve performance and scalability for all our WebEx users, we are enforcing published limits for the
number of invitations, registrations, and participators allowed for all WebEx sites, starting with WebEx
versions WBS29.13.90, WBS30.5, and WBS31. This change will impact the maximum allowed scheduled
invitations, registrations, and concurrent participant limits across all our meeting applications.
This enforcement of invitation and registration limits will not impact previously scheduled meetings, events,
and training sessions if there are no changes. However, if users of versions WBS29.13.90, WBS30.5, and
WBS31 or later edit these previously scheduled meetings, events, and training sessions, the limits will be
enforced. Users will be unable to save their changes if the number of invitations or registrations exceeds the
limits. For newly scheduled meetings, events, and training sessions the invitation and registration limits will
automatically be enforced.
Participant limits will apply to all new and existing meetings, events, and training sessions when they are
started. Users will be prevented from joining a meeting, event, or training session if the concurrent participant
limit has been exceeded while they are joining from a mobile device, desktop application, or browser application.
The following limits will be enforced for all WebEx sites:
Users will see error messages when they exceed these limits, and they will be advised to reduce the number
of invitations, registrations, or participants.
The number of participants who can join a meeting may be lower than the published amount, depending on
your contract with WebEx.
The following table shows a comparison of the previous limitations and the new limitations for WBS30.5:

Support for Multiple Languages in Personal Room Meetings
To simplify multiple language support for our WebEx users, we are updating our user experience for new and
existing users who use both Instant Personal Room meetings and Personal Room meetings scheduled using
Productivity Tools. Regular WebEx scheduled meetings are not impacted.
New sites will have the following changes after the update:
Returning users who have already set their preferred site language or first-time users who are signed in
to their WebEx accounts continue to view and join meetings in their preferred language, with no impact.
First-time users who are signed in to their WebEx accounts continue to receive email invitations for new
meetings in their own preferred language.
Meeting attendees who are guests without WebEx accounts continue to receive email invitations in their
host's preferred language.
Both first-time users with WebEx accounts and attendees who do not have WebEx accounts initially
see the meeting site and the meeting application in the site's default language until they choose and save
their preferred language on the website. This language setting will automatically apply to all future
meetings on that site.
Existing sites will have the following changes after the update:
Personal Room meetings that had been previously scheduled before the update have no impact.
New Personal Room meetings that are scheduled using Productivity Tools follow the same behavior as
described for new sites.
headset improvements to Event Center (Mac) and Training Center (Windows and Mac). This release includes
the following enhancements:
Automatic selection of a USB headset for computer audio in the Audio Connection Test dialog box,
even if you used the computer speaker and microphone in the previous meeting. You simply select OK
to choose the headset option.
Automatic detection and selection of the plugged-in headset's speaker and microphone in the Test
Computer Audio dialog box when you plug in a USB headset during a meeting. You can then select
OK to choose both the headset speaker and microphone.
Automatic detection of the headset even if it is plugged into a different USB port on the computer.
You can view which audio device you are connected to by pointing to the headset icon next to your
name in the Participants list or in the Audio Connection dialog box.

Automatically Enable CMR Cloud for Sites with Active Host and Employee Count License Models
Site administrators won't have to individually enable every user's Collaboration Meeting Rooms (CMR) Cloud
privilege for those sites that have "active host" or "employee count" license models for CMR Cloud.
The feature to automatically enable CMR Cloud applies to user accounts that were created using the WebEx
Site Administration interface, the automatic account creation from the host account sign-up link, and the single
sign-on (SSO) automatic account creation scenarios. If you want to have this feature enabled for your site,
contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM).
User Interface Update for Post-Meeting WebEx and Cisco Spark Integration
The branding for Cisco Spark in the post-meeting WebEx and Cisco Spark integration has been updated. The
user interface has also been updated for showing participant pictures and improved icon styles.
Enhancements to Existing WebEx User Provisioning XML API
The existing WebEx User Provisioning XML API (CreateUser and SetUser) is being enhanced to support
provisioning of users for "Cisco Spark Meet with WebEx" offer sites. Detailed release notes are available
here for XML API 9.0.0 for WBS30.3: https://developer.cisco.com/web/webex-developer/.
not contain the host key and host access code. Similar to the Mac experience, hosts are able to view their host
key or host access code by logging in to their WebEx site when joining their meeting.
The Windows version of Productivity Tools for Microsoft Outlook 2013 or earlier will still support two email
invitation templates (one for attendees, and one for hosts, which include the host key and host access codes).
The Mac version of Productivity Tools has always supported only one email template for all supported versions
of Microsoft Outlook.
Important Customers using Productivity Tools with Outlook 2016 should install the latest version of Productivity
Tools; otherwise, the changes in Outlook 2016 cause the older version of Productivity Tools to send the
host email invitation template to attendees.
For information about more known issues and limitations for Microsoft Outlook 2016 support in
Productivity Tools, refer "Known Issues and Limitations for Productivity Tools Windows."

All WebEx Centers
Help Central
Online help and guides are hosted outside of the product. Most links on your WebEx site, including the link
to Help from within the meeting, point to pages on Help Central, the new place for you to find training,
documentation, and support assistance. For sites set to languages other than English, help links point to the
relevant pages on Cisco.com.
For customized Quick Start pages, the Learn More links point to Help Central for all languages.
Language Support
Danish and Turkish language support has been added on Windows for Meeting Center, Event Center, Training
Center, and Support Center. Danish and Turkish languages are supported on the Mac only for Meeting Center.
WebEx Audio now supports the Danish language for call-in and call-back users. The Turkish language is
available only for call-back users.
Windows 10
Enhancements were made that allow users to start and join meetings and to share their screens in Windows
10.
The video scroll bar scrolls from left to right in video view.
If there are only two people in the meeting, there is no "video view" layout option, and each participant can
see the other's video by default.
Improvements have been made for automatic detection of the most recently used camera for video.
In-Meeting Experience
Some in-meeting experience controls have been consolidated:
When sharing the screen, the Shared button is replaced with a green outline to indicate that the screen
is being shared in the meeting.
The Raise hand icon moves next to the participant name.
The Audio button and Invite and remind others to join icon have been removed because they were
redundant. Use the options on the Quick Start page or menu commands for these functions.
The Expel command is available from the right-click menu when the host selects a participant's name.
Personal Room ID
Starting with WBS30, there are more ways to manage a host's Personal Room ID:
By default, WebEx uses the host's username or the first part of the host's email address to generate a
Personal Room ID. Site administrators can also use a user's first name and last name or a Personal Room
meeting number to generate a unique room ID.
If two or more users share the same first name and last name, WebEx can generate a Personal Room ID
that is appended with a random number. If non-Latin characters are used in the user's first or last name,
WebEx uses "pr" + a system-generated number.
If the site administrator chooses to use a Personal Room meeting number as the user's Personal Room
ID, the Personal Room ID appears in the format pr + meeting number.
Site administrators have the privilege to change users' Personal Room IDs to better suit their company
policy. Changing the Personal Room ID also changes the web URL for desktop and mobile users and
the video address (SIP or H.323 URI) used by attendees joining from video systems or applications.
Users with host accounts receive email notifications when their site administrator changes their Personal
Room IDs.
Existing users' IDs are not changed, but new ones change to the default format, which is the first part of a
host's email address.
Automatically Locking a Personal Room
Hosts can choose to have their Personal Rooms lock automatically after a set number of minutes have passed
since the meeting started. When a Personal Room is locked, hosts can use the lobby management feature to
control who is allowed to enter the room. They can also select Unlock to unlock the room. To use this feature,
mobile device users should upgrade their Cisco WebEx Meetings application to version 7.5 or later for iPad
or iPhone, or version 8.0 or later for Android.
Email Notifications for Personal Rooms
Hosts can receive email notifications when someone enters their Personal Rooms while they away from the
room. Hosts can change the notification settings in their Personal Room preferences.
Collaboration Meeting Rooms (CMR) Cloud Improvements
Video system call-back feature (beta). CMR Cloud users are able to join meetings faster by receiving
a call from the meeting to their video system. To take advantage of this capability, users can either enter
the video address in the Meeting Center application or define their preferred video addresses in their
preferences. Once the video addresses are defined in the preferences, the Meeting Center application
lists them in the Audio and Video Connection dialog box.
This feature is available only to WebEx Hybrid Audio or Cloud Connected Audio customers. Site
administrators also need to enable the feature before it becomes available in the meeting application.
Joining with Cisco Proximity (beta). Users who have the Cisco WebEx Meetings app version 7.1 or
later or version 7.5 or later for Android can enjoy a faster join experience on supported Cisco TelePresence
systems. CMR Cloud users who have the Cisco Proximity app installed on the same smart phone or
tablet as the Cisco WebEx Meetings app, can tap the Proximity icon to join a CMR Cloud meeting
faster. For detailed instructions on setting up your video system for this feature, see the "Set up Intelligent
Proximity" section in the administration guide for your TelePresence system. For a list of requirements
and caveats, see the knowledge base article at http://kb.webex.com/WBX89076.
Numeric Password for Video Systems. For scheduled meetings where the host has required a meeting
password, video system users are asked to enter a corresponding numeric meeting password from their
video systems. This number is randomly generated for each meeting and is required before admitting
the user into the meeting.
See Known Issues and Limitations for Collaboration Meeting Rooms (CMR) for more information about
limitations.
Numeric Meeting Password
WebEx Audio now supports the optional ability to enforce the meeting password requirement for users joining
from phones or from video conferencing systems or applications. When enabled, it requires that users joining
from phones or from video conferencing systems or applications enter a numeric form of the meeting password,
and for users who first join from a WebEx application and choose to call in to the meeting, it enforces the
requirement for users to enter their attendee IDs. This policy applies to all scheduled WebEx meetings and
ensures that meeting attendees are authorized to join the meeting based on knowledge of the meeting password,
not just the meeting number. It does not apply to Personal Conference meetings or Personal Room meetings.
Configuration options for the numeric meeting password requirement and attendee ID requirement are available
in Site Administration for sites that have been provisioned for the Support Secured Access to Meetings
from Phone/SIP endpoints option. Before enabling this feature, make sure that users update their Cisco
WebEx Meetings mobile apps to the latest versions:
Version 7.5 and later for Apple iPads and iPhones
Version 8.0 and later for Android mobile devices
Version 2.5 and later for Windows Phone 8 mobile devices
Version 3.7 and later for BlackBerry 10 mobile devices.
Authentication by Phone
WebEx Audio now supports the optional ability to require users joining by phone to sign in to the meeting.
When enabled, it requires that users joining from a phone authenticate themselves by entering their WebEx
profile phone number and audio PIN. Users who first join from a WebEx application and choose to call in, it
enforces the requirement for users to enter their attendee IDs. The policy applies to scheduled WebEx meetings
if host has selected the advanced scheduling option that requires attendees have an account on that WebEx
site. Configuration options for this feature are available in Site Administration for sites that have been
provisioned for the Support Secured Access to Meetings from Phone/SIP endpoints option. Before enabling
this feature, make sure that users update their Cisco WebEx Meetings mobile applications to the latest versions
and that all users have updated their WebEx user profiles to include one or more phone numbers and an audio
PIN. (See the list of versions under Numeric Meeting Password.)
The installation experience for the Windows version of WebEx Productivity Tools has been enhanced. Users
no longer must restart their computers after a Productivity Tools upgrade on Windows. This enhancement
will take effect after the initial installation of the WBS30 version. In other words, users see this enhancement
when they upgrade to a Productivity Tools version that is later than the WBS30 version.
Audio Security
Security enhancements include automatically generated numeric passwords for audio meetings. The numeric
meeting password is included in the scheduling interface and the email invitation (unless the setting for exclude
password from email invitation is enabled). This feature is available for both Windows and Mac versions.
Call Back for Telephony Service Provider (TSP) audio
The Mac version of WebEx Productivity Tools can enable call back when scheduling a meeting for users of
telephony service provider (TSP) audio, similar to the Windows version of WebEx Productivity Tools. Hosts
must check the Participants receive call back option to enable this feature when scheduling a meeting. This
feature requires both the WebEx site and the host to be enabled for TSP call back.
Recurring Meeting Exceptions for CMR Hybrid
Recurring meeting exceptions for CMR Hybrid meetings are now supported in WebEx Productivity Tools.
Orphan meetings are not yet supported. For example, you cannot add a WebEx meeting and TelePresence
rooms to a single occurrence of an Outlook-only meeting series. If you want to make these features available
for a single occurrence, make the whole series a WebEx and TelePresence meeting. You also cannot add or
remove TelePresence rooms to a meeting series if it has exceptions.
You can find details about listed bugs and search for other bugs by using the Cisco Bug Search Tool.

Starting with Mac OS X 10.7, Apple no longer offers Java as part of the Mac operating system. Since WebEx had previously
relied on the Java browser plugin to automatically download the meeting application for first-time users, those who did
not have Java installed found it difficult to join a meeting. The dependency on Java has been removed. Instead, the user
is asked to install a small plugin that, once installed, handles the rest of the meeting application installation and then
starts the meeting.
When you start or join an event using Event Center for the first time on Safari 6.X and Safari 7, a problem occurs. After
you have installed WebEx, Safari requires you to trust the plugin for the site you are attempting to join or start the event
from. The page will refresh after that, but you will not join the event. In order to join, go back to the link you originally
selected and you will be able to join successfully.
2 Linux is not supported for Personal Rooms.
3 Using WebEx on Chrome and Firefox
Because Chrome will be removing support for NPAPI, a new joining method using a Chrome extension has been provided
for using WebEx starting with Chrome 38. When using WebEx for the first time on Chrome, users will be guided through
a one-time process to add the extension and update the WebEx application. After the first time, users can join without the
extra steps.
Firefox 64-bit is not supported.
Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Mac OS X 10.6, and Internet Explorer 6
End of Support Announcement
WebEx support for Windows Server 2003 and Mac OS X 10.6 ended with version WBS30. We no longer
test Windows Server 2003 and Mac OS X 10.6 with our products and cannot guarantee that WebEx will
continue to work on those platforms. Microsoft has announced that Windows Server 2003 is not supported
after July 14, 2015, and Apple has stopped providing updates and security patches for Mac OS X 10.6.
In addition, as was announced previously, WebEx support for Windows XP was ended January 2015.
Because these operating systems were no longer supported, starting with version WBS30, users are unable
to join or start WebEx meetings, Remote Access sessions, or Access Anywhere sessions, or use any other
WebEx applications from computers that use Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Mac OX 10.6.
We recommend that users upgrade their computers to a supported operating system so that they can continue
use WebEx without interruption. Users can also use WebEx from supported mobile devices.
WebEx no longer supports Internet Explorer 6, as of the WBS29.8 release, in order to be consistent with
current web standards. We recommend that you upgrade to a more recent version of Internet Explorer or use
a different browser.

In a few cases, the following problems might occur:
Text and fill colors might be slightly different from the actual colors in a slide.
Some graphic elements might be missing from a slide.
Fonts might appear blurry on a slide or might be different from the original.
The size of shapes might be different from the original.
If an object in a PowerPoint presentation does not display correctly in edit mode, it is automatically

When you share your application or desktop in Windows 8, or 8.1, other participants see windows with
a crosshatch pattern on top of the shared content in places where any panels are open. This occurs with
all panels, including the meeting control panel, Participants panel, Chat panel, and sharing indicators.
We recommend you keep panels closed as much as possible to provide a better viewing experience for
other participants. You can quickly hide or show all meeting panels by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Shift+H.

Microsoft Edge browser limitations
The Edge browser is supported using the WebEx Temporary Folder Solution (TFS) by downloading
and installing an executable file (.exe).
The Edge browser is supported only for starting and joining meetings, events, training sessions,
or support sessions in Meeting Center, Event Center, Training Center, and Support Center. It is
not supported for Access Anywhere, Remote Access, Hands-On Labs, the WebEx Player for
WebEx Recording Format Files (WRF), or the WebEx Network Recording Player for Advanced
Recording Format Files (ARF).
Users cannot share the Edge browser in a WebEx meeting using the web browser sharing or
application sharing features. We recommend using screen sharing instead.
We recommend that you use Internet Explorer or another browser for WebEx until the Edge browser is
fully supported.
Firefox 64-bit browser limitations
The Firefox 64-bit browser is supported using the WebEx Temporary Folder Solution (TFS) by
downloading and installing an executable file (.exe).
The Firefox 64-bit browser is supported only for starting and joining meetings, events, training
sessions, or support sessions in Meeting Center, Event Center, Training Center, and Support Center.
It is not supported for Access Anywhere, Remote Access, Hands-On Labs, the WebEx Player for
WebEx Recording Format Files (WRF), or the WebEx Network Recording Player for Advanced
Recording Format Files (ARF).
We recommend that you use the 32-bit version of the Firefox browser until the 64-bit version is fully
supported.
Limitations for sharing content
When connecting to a remote computer with Windows 10, the local screen is not blacked out.
The Windows applications are not listed in the Add Application dialog box in Access Anywhere
or Remote Access.
If Meeting Center attendees try to save Universal Communications Format (UCF) files to their
local computers and have opened the Save Document dialog box, and then the host turns off the
option that allows users to save files, the attendees are still able to save the UCF files.
When you share your application or desktop in Windows 10, other participants see windows with a
crosshatch pattern on top of the shared content in places where any panels are open.

This limitation has been added to protect subscribers from bandwidth issues that could result from a spike in
video traffic if multiple non-thumbnail video streams are sent to a large group of participants. The limitation
is expected to be removed in the future.
When the presenter switches to full-screen video view while sharing his or her screen, application, or document,
sharing is paused on the participant side (the last-shared screen freezes). When the presenter exits full-screen
video view, sharing automatically resumes.
Participants stay in full-screen video view when the presenter stops sharing and automatically exit full-screen
video view when the presenter starts sharing again.
If the Mac or PC WebEx application has two monitors, users can view full-screen view on one monitor and
full-screen or application sharing on the other monitor by dragging the video window to the other monitor
and selecting the "View all participants in full-screen view" icon.
Presenter may unintentionally disable video for all participants
If a WebEx user who is the presenter in the meeting unchecks the Video option in the Meeting Options dialog
box, video is disabled for all meeting participants, whether they joined from a WebEx meeting application or
from a video conferencing system. To restore video for all participants, the meeting host or current presenter
should check the Video option in the Meeting Options dialog box.

Firefox 43 or later
The WebEx Productivity Tools add-on for Firefox is not supported for Firefox version 43 or later. We
recommend that you use Internet Explorer instead.
The Mac version of Productivity Tools has always supported only one email template for all supported versions
of Microsoft Outlook.
Important Customers using Productivity Tools with Outlook 2016 should install the latest version of Productivity
Tools; otherwise, the changes in Outlook 2016 will cause the older version of Productivity Tools to send
the host email invitation template to attendees.
If a host who is using Microsoft Outlook 2016 version edits meetings that were created with other supported
Windows versions of Microsoft Outlook in WebEx Productivity Tools version WBS29.13.10 or later, because
Microsoft Outlook 2016 is limited to only one email template, a new email template will be generated with
new content based on the single unified email template for both host and attendees
If a user schedules a meeting in Microsoft Outlook 2016, and then later, that user or a user who is scheduling
meetings on behalf of the first user edits that meeting using Microsoft Outlook 2013, the meeting email
invitation will show the WebEx information for both the original meeting and the edited meeting.
If a user schedules a meeting in Microsoft Outlook 2016, and then later, that user or a user who is scheduling
meetings on behalf of the first user edits that meeting using Microsoft Outlook 2013 to change the meeting
topic, date, or time, the user will see a message indicating that Microsoft Integration to Outlook cannot locate
the WebEx meeting information because the meeting is being edited, and selecting either OK or Cancel will
update the meeting with incorrect information.
If a user schedules a meeting in Microsoft Outlook 2016, and then later, that user or a user who is scheduling
meetings on behalf of the first user edits that meeting using Microsoft Outlook 2007, the user will see a
message indicating that he or she does not have appropriate permissions to edit the meeting and will not be
able to save the change.
If a host creates a WebEx series meeting in Outlook 2016 for Mac and changes one occurrence to an exception,
then cancels the WebEx for the exception, the appointment cannot be closed if the host later edits the series
from Outlook 2016 for Windows where the calendar time zone is different from the Outlook for Mac's time
zone, even if the email body is updated.
If a host in Outlook 2016 for Mac allows scheduling on behalf of a series meeting from Outlook for Windows,
then the host changes one occurrence to an exception (e.g., edits the password, time, topic, etc.), this exception
will be updated although Outlook for Windows only updates series meeting.
Windows 10
If a Windows user has installed a version of WebEx Productivity Tools that is earlier than version WBS30.1
and then upgrades to the Windows 10 operating system, the start menu command for WebEx Productivity
Tools will still appear in the "WebEx" folder on the start menu, rather than in the "WebEx Productivity Tools"
folder. To show the command correctly in the "WebEx Productivity Tools" folder, the user should uninstall
WebEx Productivity Tools and then install version WBS30.1 or later.
EMC SourceOne
EMC SourceOne is not supported by WebEx Productivity Tools. Users of EMC SourceOne might experience
performance issues.
Custom meeting templates that have been created by users will not be impacted. If a host schedules meetings
using custom templates and wants to have the first attendee to join the meetings automatically become the
presenter, the host will need to manually enable the setting in the custom templates.

* If CMR Hybrid is enabled on the site, only one email invitation template is available for CMR Hybrid
meetings, WebEx-only, Personal Conference, and Audio-only meetings, and it is the attendee version that
does not contain the host key and host access code.
The Mac version of WebEx Productivity Tools still uses a single email template, so if a host edits older
meetings with the Mac version of Productivity Tools that were created from the version WBS29.13 or later
Windows version of WebEx Productivity Tools, due to the Mac version limitation to one single email template,
a new email template will be generated with new content based on the single unified email template for both
host and attendees.
In addition, if a host forwards a WebEx meeting by using the Forward command in Microsoft Outlook,
Windows Productivity Tools will not be able to identify host's forwarding behavior and will send an email
for attendee's view in the email invitation instead of host's own email invitation.
In some complex circumstances, if a host cancels an individual meeting that is an exception to a meeting
series and then edits a meeting series, the cancellation notice for the meeting that is sent to attendees, which
is not supposed to contain WebEx meeting information because the meeting was canceled, would actually
contain updated information for the update meeting series.
If a host creates a CMR Hybrid series meeting and changes one occurrence to an exception, then updates the
series meeting to WebEx only meetings, the exception meeting email body will change from HTML to plain
text when this exception meeting is updated to WebEx only meeting.
WebEx Productivity Tools do not support the %Meeting Date% parameter in the invitation email body. The
meeting date and time should be handled by the calendar system.
Scheduling CMRCloud meetings using WebEx Productivity Tools for Microsoft Outlook is notsupported
for Lync. Instant meetings that you start with the Meet Now commandare still supported.
The 64-bitversion of Lync is not supported.
Silent upgrade
In some silent upgrade cases, the version of Productivity Tools on the control panel will be reflected incorrectly.
This problem does not impact any Productivity Tools features and should be fixed in a future release.
Allow people to join using WebEx option is always unchecked for CMR Hybrid (WebEx-enabled TelePresence)
meetings
Prior to WBS31.6, the Allow people to join using WebEx option is unchecked by default for each WebEx
meetingit is not sticky. If you want to turn it on, you must turn it on each time you schedule a new meeting.
Starting with 31.6, this option is enabled automatically when the user tries to schedule CMR Hybrid meeting.
Firefox 43 or later
The WebEx Productivity Tools add-on for Firefox is not supported for Firefox version 43 or later. We
recommend that you use Internet Explorer instead.
Cross-platform support
Productivity Tools are available for the Microsoft Windows and Mac platforms; they are not available on the
Linux, Unix, and Solaris platforms.
WebEx Productivity Tools do not support having more than one version of Microsoft Outlook installed
on the same computer.
Attendee registration can not be enabled for recurring WebEx meetings scheduled using Outlook
integration.
If a template used during Outlook integration has the Mute on Entry option turned on, you will still hear
a sound as attendees join the session.
If the Outlook software has different time zone settings as compared to the WebEx site, a WebEx meeting
that is scheduled using the Outlook integration will not show up correctly on WebEx site. On the host
and attendee's Outlook calendars, however, the time zone for the meeting schedule still appears correctly.
A Training Center meeting that is scheduled using Outlook integration has the following limitations:
It is not possible to specify "Listed for authorized users only."
It is not possible to reserve Hands-on Lab computers.
It is not possible to specify a registration close date and a maximum number of registrations.
It is not possible to invite attendees as presenters into the training session.
It is not possible to assign attendee privileges.
It is not possible to edit the type of email messages you want to send when different events happen.
It is not possible to add tests and course material.
The option to join a meeting before the host is not available for recurring Training Center sessions.
An Event Center meeting that is scheduled using Outlook integration has the following limitations:
It is not possible to assign a program.
It is not possible to assign multiple time zones to an event.
It is not possible to add event options such as uploading a host or presenter's image, uploading
event material, UCF auto play options, and so forth.
It is not possible to add presenters and panelists.
It is not possible to edit email template options for an event.
The option to join a meeting before the host is not available for recurring Event Center sessions.
If you schedule a meeting using Microsoft Outlook and then change the meeting information on the
WebEx service site, your changes will not appear in Outlook.
If you select multiple meetings in Outlook and delete or move them at the same time, those changes will
not appear on your WebEx service site.
If you schedule a new meeting in Outlook by copying an existing meeting, a new meeting is not created
on the WebEx service site. Instead, the same WebEx meeting link is shown on both the original and the
copied meeting.
The Attendee access code (Listen only) is not displayed for Audio-only meetings scheduled using
Outlook integration.
Importing your company address book into your WebEx contacts is not supported with Microsoft Outlook
2010 64-bit.
If a single occurrence of a recurring WebEx meeting is either deleted or rescheduled, the meeting
information is not updated on WebEx service site. In the host and attendee's Lotus Notes calendars,
however, the recurring meeting still appears correctly.
When a WebEx recurring meeting is scheduled to recur on alternate weeks (Biweekly, Triweekly, etc.)
in a Lotus Notes calendar, the recurring meeting appears to be scheduled on the WebEx service site as
occurring weekly rather than recurring on alternate weeks. In the host and attendee's Lotus Notes
calendars, however, the recurring meeting still appears correctly.
Attendee registration can not be enabled for recurring WebEx meetings scheduled using Lotus Notes
Integration.
If a template used during Lotus Notes Integration has "Mute on Entry" option enabled, you will still
hear a sound as attendees join the session.
If the Lotus Notes client has different time zone settings as compared to the WebEx service site, a WebEx
meeting that is scheduled using Lotus Notes Integration will not show up correctly on WebEx service
site. On the host and attendee's Lotus Notes calendars, however, the time zone for the meeting schedule
still appears correctly.
Since Lotus Notes Integration does not use an email template, it is not possible to configure the content
of the host's and attendee's email invitations for WebEx meetings that are scheduled using Lotus Notes
Integration.
A Training Center meeting that is scheduled using Lotus Notes Integration has the following limitations:
It is not possible to specify "Listed for authorized users only"
It is not possible to reserve Hands-on Lab computers.
The option to join a meeting before the start time is not available for recurring Training Center
sessions.
An Event Center meeting that is scheduled using Lotus Notes Integration has the following limitations:
It is not possible to assign Program.
It is not possible to assign multiple time zones to an Event.
It is not possible to add event options such as uploading a host or presenter's image, uploading
event material, UCF auto play options, and so forth.
It is not possible to add presenters and panelists.
It is not possible to edit email template options for an event.
The option to join a meeting before the start time is not available for recurring Event Center sessions.

your changes will not appear in Lotus Notes.
If you select multiple meetings in Lotus Notes and then delete or move them at the same time, those
changes will not appear on your WebEx service site.
If you schedule a new meeting in Lotus Notes by copying an existing meeting, a new meeting is not
created on WebEx site. Instead, the same WebEx meeting link is shown on the original and is copied
with the meeting.
The Attendee access code (Listen only) is not displayed for Audio-only meetings scheduled using
Outlook integration.
If host edits an already-scheduled Lotus Notes integration meeting and adds an attendee, the attendee
information is not posted to WebEx service site. As a result, for such attendees, this meeting will not
appear in the My WebEx My Meetings list of meetings to which you are invited.
Advanced WebEx Settings dialog box. See the Email invitation templates section earlier in this section
for additional information about email template support in Productivity Tools.
The Windows version of Productivity Tools for CMR Hybrid meetings does not support sending HTML
email invitations. The email invitations are available only in plain text format.
The Productivity Tools email templates for CMR Hybrid meetings do not contain
the"%ConfCallParticipant%" variable, to allow an audio-only caller to join only the audio portion of
the meeting by selecting that option from a mobile device. Instead, mobile device users (assuming they
have data and voice connectivity simultaneously) can select the Join WebEx meeting link or URL in
their invitation, and join the CMR Hybrid meeting using the Cisco WebEx Meetings mobile application
for audio as well as two-way video and data and content sharing consumption. Or they can pick up or
manually dial the call-in number and meeting ID number or access code in the invitation from their
mobile device.
Time zone and Daylight Savings Time
The time zone for the WebEx site must match the time zone for the Cisco TelePresence Management
Suite; otherwise the meeting time will not be synchronized. When you make Daylight Savings Time
changes between your WebEx site and the Cisco TelePresence Management Suite, it is possible your
meeting might be an hour off schedule; if this happens, rescheduling will be required. If this problem
occurs with a meeting series where some instances occur before Daylight Savings Times begins and
some occur after, it is recommended that you create two meeting series: one meeting series that ends
before the Daylight Savings Time begins and a second meeting series that starts after Daylight Savings
Time begins.
Exceptions to a recurring meeting series
Although recurring meeting exceptions for CMR Hybrid meetings are now supported in WebEx
Productivity Tools. Orphan meetings are not yet supported. For example, you cannot add a WebEx
meeting and TelePresence rooms to a single occurrence of an Outlook-only meeting series. If you
want to make these features available for a single occurrence, you need to make the whole series
a WebEx and TelePresence meeting.
Edits to a meeting series with exceptions that were changed before version WBS30 follow Microsoft
Outlook rules, where possible, regarding treatment of the exception properties.
If a host edits the subject or changes the meeting time of a single occurrence of a recurring CMR
Hybrid meeting series by editing it directly in the Microsoft Outlook calendar, and then removes
WebEx from the entire series, the WebEx meeting information will still appear in the exception
meeting.
If the host scheduled a recurring CMR Hybrid meeting series, and the date of the first occurrence
has passed without that meeting being started, the host cannot update the date of that individual
occurrence. However, the host can change the date for the entire meeting series.
If you remove the WebEx meeting from an individual occurrence of a CMR Hybrid meeting series,
you will change it to a TelePresence-only meeting. However, The Cisco TelePresence Management
Suite (Cisco TMS) will still show WebEx information for that exception meeting.
If you change all of the individual meeting occurrences within a meeting series into exceptions,
and you then attempt to add a TelePresence meeting to the entire series, Cisco TelePresence
Management Suite for Microsoft Exchange (Cisco TMSXE) assumes the series in the past and
does not give adequate warning messages to the meeting scheduler or host. Users can work around
this issue by deleting the current series and creating a new series that has TelePresence added, and
then editing the exceptions to that series individually, as exceptions, or deleting all of the exceptions
and creating individual meetings.
Exceptions for TelePresence-only meetings that are based in Cisco TMS, mobile applications, or
Microsoft Exchange are supported in version WBS30 and Cisco TMS version 15. Scheduling of
WebEx exceptions or WebEx and TelePresence exceptions using Cisco TMS is expected to be
supported in a future release.
Cisco TMS will process those exceptions, but will send only send a single recurring meeting series
to WebEx. The organizer's WebEx meeting list will be incorrect, but the "host" (Multipoint Control
Unit or TelePresence Server) can still start the meeting as the host.
Adding or changing or removing TelePresence rooms for a series that has exceptions in it is not
supported. To work around this issue, you can delete the series and then create a new series.
If you remove all TelePresence attributes and ports or all WebEx attributes from a series that has
exceptions in it, all such attributes and TelePresence rooms will also be removed from both the
series and the exceptions, to avoid creating orphans. To work around this issue, you can delete the
series and then create a new series.
WebEx does not support the full recurrence pattern that Cisco TMS supports.
Adding TelePresence rooms that are not in Cisco TMSXE to the "To" address line of an Outlook
meeting does not create a single-instance TelePresence meeting or a TelePresence exception
meeting or orphan in a WebEx series or Outlook-only series.
If you add or change the WebEx attributes or TelePresence attributes or ports of a meeting series
with exceptions in it, those attributes will not be changed in the exception meetings.
You cannot start an instant CMR Hybrid meeting; you can only schedule CMR Hybrid meetings. When
CMR Hybrid users start instant meetings, they are WebEx-only meetings and do not include TelePresence
integration.
Starting withWBS29.11, instant meetings that you start with the Meet Nowcommand (formerly called
One-Click Meeting) are held in your Personal Room by default. You can change this option in
Preferences. CMR Hybrid users also have Personal Rooms, but only users who join from a WebEx
meeting application or app can join those Personal Rooms. In order to have a Personal Room meeting
that users can join from a video conferencing system or application, the WebEx site and host account
must be enabled for CMR Cloud.
A workaroundfor an instant meeting that uses both WebEx and TelePresence is to start a meeting from
a TelePresence system and then the named host has selects Instant WebEx Meeting on the meeting
detail page to generate a URL that allows external participants to join the TelePresence meeting from a
WebEx application or mobile application.
Scheduling WebEx-only or TelePresence-only meetings
WebEx sites that have the CMR Hybrid integration enabled require Cisco TelePresence Management
Suite Extension for Microsoft Exchange (Cisco TMSXE) in order for CMR Hybrid users to schedule
WebEx-only meetings or TelePresence-only meetings with Productivity Tools.
Maximum of two simultaneous meetings per host
WebEx sites that have the CMR Hybrid integration enabled do not allow a host to have more than two
CMR Hybrid meetings started at the same time.
Personal Conference and Audio-Only meetings
Although a CMR Hybrid user can schedule a Personal Conference meeting for sites that have WebEx
Audio or an Audio-Only meeting for sites that have telephony service provider (TSP) audio, it is a
WebEx-only meeting type and does not include CMR Hybrid integration.
No branding or customizing of CMR Hybrid features
Site administrators cannot change the branding for the CMR Hybrid Meeting Options panel, cannot hide
information in the Meeting Options panel or in the TelePresence or WebEx Advanced Settings dialog
boxes, and cannot limit the number of video call-in participants the user can enter.
XenApp Support
WebEx Productivity Tools do not support XenApp.
Firefox 43 or later

recommend that you use Internet Explorer instead.

* If CMR Hybrid is enabled on the site, only one email invitation template is available for CMR Hybrid
meetings, WebEx-only, Personal Conference, and Audio-only meetings, and it is the attendee version that
does not contain the host key and host access code.
In the Mac version of WebEx Productivity Tools, only one email invitation template is available for CMR
Hybrid meetings, WebEx-only, Personal Conference, and Audio-only meetings, and the attendee version that
does not contain the host key and host access code. However, the host can select a link in the email invitation
to view host information on the meeting information page after logging in to their host accounts. Hosts can
also select Preferences within the WebEx Productivity Tools menu to view their audio information, if required.
This information is also available on the WebEx site in the Audio section of the Preferences page.
In WBS29.13, the Windows version of WebEx Productivity Tools regained the ability to have two separate
email templates, but The Mac version of WebEx Productivity Tools still uses a single email template, so if a
host edits older meetings with the Mac version of Productivity Tools that were created from the version
WBS29.13 or later Windows version of WebEx Productivity Tools, due to Mac version's limitation to one
single email template, a new email template will be generated with new content based on the single unified
email template for both host and attendees. In addition, if a host forwards a WebEx meeting through the
Forward command in Microsoft Outlook, Windows Productivity Tools will not be able to identify host's
forwarding behavior and will send an email invitation with the attendee view instead of the host's own email
invitation.
WebEx Productivity Tools do not support the %Meeting Date% parameter in the invitation email body. The
meeting date and time should be handled by the calendar system.
If a user schedules a meeting in Microsoft Outlook 2016, and then later, that user or a user who is
scheduling meetings on behalf of the first user edits that meeting using Microsoft Outlook 2013 to change
the meeting topic, date, or time, the user will see a message indicating that Microsoft Integration to
Outlook cannot locate the WebEx meeting information because the meeting is being edited, and selecting
either OK or Cancel will update the meeting with incorrect information.
If a user schedules a meeting in Microsoft Outlook 2016, and then later, that user or a user who is
scheduling meetings on behalf of the first user edits that meeting using Microsoft Outlook 2007, the
user will see a message indicating that he or she does not have appropriate permissions to edit the meeting
and will not be able to save the change.
Meeting times are not displayed correctly in email invitations for a meeting series. This is because the
parameter %MeetingDate% is not supported. We recommend that you do not add this parameter to
display the meeting date when customizing email templates.
In Microsoft Outlook 2016, an exception meeting opens when a user right-clicks an exception and selects
Open > Open Series.
Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) Single Sign-On 2.0 Support for Safari
Due to a known issue with Apple, Mac Productivity Tools users cannot sign in using single sign-on based on
Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) 2.0 for Mac OS 10.10 to Mac OS 10.10.3 from either the Safari
browser or WebEx Productivity Tools for the Mac; however, this problem is resolved with Mac OS 10.10.4
and later.
Desktop icons
In the Danish and Turkish versions of WebEx Productivity Tools, the desktop shortcut icon and the tooltip
for that icon both appear in English.
Lotus Notes
Lotus Notes is not supported in the Mac version of WebEx Productivity Tools.
XenApp Support
WebEx Productivity Tools do not support XenApp.
Network-based recordings
Network-based recordings require a minimum bandwidth of 2.0 Mbps to play smoothly; otherwise, pausing
might occur.
Personal Rooms
Automatically lock Personal RoomThis option applies only when hosts enter their Personal Room using
the WebEx application. If hosts enter their Personal Room from a video device or application, the feature is
not applied.
Notify hostIf more than one attendee selects the Notify Host button in within a 5-minute period, WebEx
sends only one email notification with the names of all of the attendees. The email notification will show no
more than 5 attendee names. This feature is not yet supported on mobile devices.
Telephony service provider (TSP) audioFor some WebEx sites that use third-party telephony service
providers, TelePresence users might not be able to join CMR Cloud meetings or start Personal Room meetings
until they have specified the toll phone number for the teleconference provider. To avoid this problem in a
meeting, it is recommended that hosts specify the toll number of the TSP audio service in their Preferences
when setting up their Personal Rooms.
Other TeleconferenceFor a few WebEx sites that use Other Teleconference as an audio selection, if the
Other TeleConference option is selected, Personal Room would be started with no audio. To avoid this problem,
it is highly recommended that site administrators change the site audio settings.
BrowserDue to special security controls, if a PC user has to join a single Personal Room from two tabs in
one browser as two attendees, the Personal Room can only identify one attendee officially.
Linux systems, BlackBerry 10 devices, and Windows 8 phonesYou cannot start or host a meeting in
your Personal Room using Linux systems, a BlackBerry 10 device, or a Windows Phone 8 device.
Personal Room lobbyUsers of the following devices or systems cannot wait in the lobby while a Personal
Room is locked: Linux systems, TelePresence devices, Windows Phone 8 device, and BlackBerry 10 devices.
In addition users who join only the audio portion of the meeting cannot wait in the lobby while a Personal
Room is locked. These users will receive a message that the room is locked, and will not be able to join until
the room is unlocked.
For additional issues that affect Personal Rooms and Collaboration Meeting Rooms (CMR), see Cross-platform

The Pan tool is not available when viewing a file that is shared using file sharing.
The new interface is not available for Linux users.
On Mac, when the presenter annotates during application sharing or screen sharing (formerly called
desktop sharing) and takes notes or creates a poll, the Notes and Poll information cannot be saved.
On Mac, when using annotation during sharing, if user moves from tab view to full-screen view, the
annotation option that as last used is not remembered.
On some Windows machines as well as on Linux machines, if attendee screen saver comes on and then
the presenter starts file sharing, the screen saver automatically quits.
Some custom Quick Start templates, created using older releases of Meeting Center, may not work after
upgrading to this release.
In a few cases, uploading a very large Microsoft PowerPoint file to share in the meeting may cause the
meeting to get disconnected for the presenter.
Windows 7
If a host starts an Event Center event with Audio Broadcast, other participants may join the Audio
Broadcast slowly.
Windows 10
If you have customized your Info Tab, some custom elements may not be supported. We recommend
that you validate it to make sure it continues to display properly in a WebEx meeting.
In a few cases, the following problems may occur:
Text and fill colors may be slightly different from the actual colors in a slide.
Some graphic elements may be missing from a slide.
Fonts may appear blurry on a slide or may be different from the original.
The size of shapes may be different from the original.
If an object in a PowerPoint presentation does not display correctly in edit mode, it is automatically
removed in Slide Show view; however, the object may continue to display when the file is shared in a
WebEx meeting.
You cannot share password-protected PowerPoint 2013 files using the file sharing feature. Use the
application sharing or desktop sharing features instead.
You cannot share Excel 2013 files on Windows 8 using the file sharing feature. Use the application
sharing or screen sharing (formerly called "desktop sharing") features instead.
You cannot share Word 2013 (64-bit) documents on Windows 8 (64-bit) using the file sharing feature.
Use the application sharing or screen sharing features instead.
File sharing
If you are a host using Windows and do not have a universal printer driver installed on your system, you will
not be able to share any file types except Microsoft PowerPoint files during file sharing. In this case, the
system will provide an option to move to application sharing instead of file sharing or to install a universal
printer driver before you proceed. (Windows 7 systems come pre-installed with a universal printer driver.)
File sharing is not supported for CMR Hybrid (WebEx-enabled TelePresence) meetings.
File sharing is not supported for CMR Hybrid (WebEx-enabled TelePresence) meetings.
Closing a meeting
In Internet Explorer 7, if there are multiple tabs open in the browser, and the WebEx "Meeting in Progress"
page is not the tab in the foreground, the meeting manager cannot be closed. The reason is that the "Close
meeting" confirmation dialog box becomes hidden if another tab is on top of the WebEx page.

to the Cisco WebEx Network Bandwidth White Paper.
Presentation and data sharing quality
If you do not have adequate bandwidth, your presentation and data sharing in CMR Cloud and CMR
Hybrid meetings can degrade to XGA (1024 x 768 resolution) and 5 fps. On TelePresence systems,
users see a "letterbox" format. As of WBS29.8, up to 720 p resolution is supported as long as all WebEx
participants have at least 2 Mbps, and the data sharing can cover the whole TelePresence system screen
on both 4:3 and 16:9 TelePresence systems without cropping. Starting with WBS29.11, with TelePresence
Server 4.1 and Conductor XC 3.0, 1080 p resolution is supported as long as all WebEx participants have
at least 3 Mbps. If any participants in the meeting do not have the minimum bandwidth, all participants
drop to the next lowest data sharing resolution level. For example, if 720 p resolution was used, but one
participant has bandwidth that is below the threshold, the meeting resolution drops to 720 p for all
participants. Or, if TelePresence Server 4.1 and Conductor XC 3.0 are used, 1080 p would normally be
supported, but if one participant does not have least 3 Mbps, the data sharing resolution drops to 720 p
for all participants. The presentation and data sharing quality from TelePresence system to TelePresence
system does not change, and the resolution is based on TelePresence Server or Cisco TelePresence MCU
series settings. The presentation and data sharing quality from WebEx application to WebEx application
is good quality. These presentation and data sharing quality limitations do not apply to WebEx-only
meetings, which use a proprietary data rendering format.
In-meeting video experience
WebEx users can only see the active speaker or the most recently active speaker's video endpoint in the
WebEx application. Video endpoint users who are not talking don't show up in the WebEx application.
TelePresence video doesn't appear in WebEx thumbnails.
Video endpoint users can only see the active speaker or the most recently active speaker from WebEx
on their screens. WebEx users who are not talking don't show up on their screens.
If there is background noise in a TelePresence room, it can cause the video for that TelePresence room
to appear as the active speaker in the WebEx meeting. If needed, the host can use the Lock Video
command to lock the video display on another participant's video.
In a CMR Cloud or CMR Hybrid meeting, the participant videos of participants who have joined from
Apple iPads or iPhones over a mobile network are not visible on TelePresence systems, although audio
is still available. The participant videos would still be visible within WebEx applications. This problem
occurs because 180 p video is required to send video to TelePresence systems, but sending 180 p video
over mobile networks is not supported due to the Apple iTunes developer guidelines for applications.
This issue occurs only with mobile networks, and does not occur when participants using iPads and
iPhones are using Wi-Fi. In addition, iPad and iPhone users may also see a low-bandwidth warning
when trying to view the video of TelePresence participants, depending on the quality and data rate of
the connection, whether they are on a mobile network or on Wi-Fi.
Standard features
Some standard features, such as annotation and whiteboard sharing, are not supported in CMR Cloud
or CMR Hybrid meetings.
Full-screen video view
When presenters switch to full-screen video view while sharing their screen, application, or document,
sharing is paused on the attendee side (the last-shared screen freezes). When the presenter exits full-screen
video view, sharing automatically resumes.
Attendees stay in full-screen video view when the presenter stops sharing and automatically exit full-screen
video view when the presenter starts sharing again.
If the Mac or PC WebEx application has two monitors, users can display a full-screen view on one
monitor and full-screen or application sharing on the other monitor by dragging the video window to
the other monitor and selecting the "View all participants in full-screen view" icon.
Presenter may unintentionally disable video for all participants
If a WebEx user who is the presenter in the meeting unchecks the Video option in the Meeting Options
dialog box, video is disabled for all meeting participants, whether they joined from a WebEx meeting
application or from a video conferencing system. To restore video for all participants, the meeting host
or current presenter should check the Video option in the Meeting Options dialog box.
Welcome screen
By default, the WebEx welcome screen is not displayed on TelePresence devices, and we recommend
that it be turned off in site administration settings for both CMR Cloud and CMR Hybrid meetings.
Other teleconference audio
The audio connection option Other teleconference audio is not supported for CMR Hybrid and CMR
Cloud meetings.
Telephony service provider (TSP) audio accounts
For some telephony service provider (TSP) audio accounts, if a host with a TSP account schedules two
adjacent CMR Hybrid or CMR Cloud meetings, with the second one scheduled to start immediately
after the first one ends, and if the TelePresence scheduling system automatically extends the first meeting
past the scheduled end, the second meeting will end automatically because the same TSP audio account
and host access code cannot be used for both meetings at the same time.
To work around this problem, hosts can set up two different TSP audio accounts with different host
access codes, and use one account for the first meeting and the other account for the second meeting.
Another option is for the administrator to turn off the option for the TelePresence system that automatically
extends the meeting.
WebEx meeting features
If you are hosting a meeting that includes TelePresence systems (CMR Cloud or CMR Hybrid), the
following WebEx features are unavailable:
Polling
File Transfer
Chat (with TelePresence room participants)
For a list of compatible video systems and applications see Collaboration Meeting Rooms Cloud Compatibility
and Support
Call-back can be received on SIP-based video conferencing systems, using a fully qualified domain
name format, such as <username>@<domain>.com.
If a meeting is locked before the user starts the video call-back feature, the user is allowed to receive a
call from the meeting.
Video call-back is not currently available on sites with third-party telephony service provider (TSP)
audio. This limitation will be addressed in a future release.
The video call-back feature is being released as a Beta feature to collect feedback from users. Some
functionality may not work as expected during the Beta phase.
Proximity join
Users of the Cisco WebEx Meetings mobile application should disconnect their existing audio call (on
the phone or using the Internet) before tapping the Proximity icon. Otherwise, the Proximity app is not
able to detect and instruct video conferencing systems to join a meeting.
In its default configuration, video conferencing systems do not allow remote control using the Proximity
application. For this feature to work, an administrator has to enable Proximity mode and the Call Control
service on the video conferencing system.
The Proximity join feature is being released as a Beta feature to collect feedback from users. Some
functionality may not work as expected during the Beta phase.
Linux systems, Blackberry 10, and Windows Phone 8 device support
CMR Cloud meetings are not currently supported on Linux systems, BlackBerry 10 devices, or Windows
Phone 8 devices.
File sharing or whiteboard sharing
If a WebEx user shares a file or a whiteboard in a CMR Cloud meeting, the file or whiteboard is not
visible to users who have joined from a video conferencing system or application. If the host is attempting
this kind of sharing from a desktop application, both the host and video conferencing system or application
users see a warning informing them about this limitation. We recommend that the host use application
sharing or screen sharing (formerly called "desktop sharing") instead.
Starting a Personal Room meeting from the mobile application
If the site administrator has specified that meeting passwords are required for a WebEx site, and hosts
try to start a meeting in a Personal Room using the Cisco WebEx Meetings mobile app, they see an error
message that the meeting cannot be started. If this happens, the host can follow these steps to correct
the situation:
1 Log in to the WebEx site.
2 Select My WebEx.
3 Select Preferences.
4 Select "Meet Now" Settings.
5 Uncheck the Use Personal Room for all my instant meetings option.
6 Enter a temporary meeting topic for Topic.
7 Enter a temporary meeting password for Meeting Password.
8 Scroll down and select Save.
9 Select the Preferences link on the left navigation bar again.
Users need to dial into the meeting using the format <meetingnumber>.<sitename>@lync.webex.com
for a scheduled meeting or <hostID>.<sitename>@lync.webex.com for a Personal Room meeting.
Video addresses in this formation are not included in meeting invitations.
Content that is shared in a CMR Cloud meeting is transcoded into the main video channel in the
Skype for Business application.
The RTV video codec is not supported when using CMR Cloud with Lync or Skype for Business.
Users of the Mac OX version of Microsoft Lync 2011 can join only by audio.
To ensure 2-way video in a meeting users must select Video and then select Start Video.
After joining the meeting, users may need to select Start Video one more time.
The latest version of Skype for Business for Apple iPhone or iPad devices is 6.2.0.24
Known Issues for Using CMR Cloud with Spark and Firefox
When Spark users in Firefox share their screen, Webex users see a black screen, instead of the shared
content. When Webex users share their screen, Spark users in Firefox can see the shared content.
If you change all the individual meeting occurrences within a meeting series into exceptions, and you
then attempt to add a TelePresence meeting to the entire series, Cisco TelePresence Management Suite
for Microsoft Exchange (Cisco TMSXE) assumes the series in the past and does not give adequate
warning messages to the meeting scheduler or host. Users can work around this issue by deleting the
current series and creating a new series that has TelePresence added, and then editing the exceptions to
that series individually, as exceptions, or deleting all the exceptions and creating individual meetings.
Exceptions to a recurring meeting series using WebEx Productivity Tools
Although exceptions to a recurring meeting series are supported for WebEx-only meetings on CMR
Hybrid sites and on CMR Cloud sites in WBS29.11, exceptions to recurring series are not supported in
WBS29.11 for CMR Hybrid meetings. Creating an exception meeting in a meeting series either using
Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (TMS)-based scheduling methods (Cisco TelePresence
Management Suite Administrator, Cisco Smart Scheduler, and so on.), or using mobile calendars synced
to Microsoft Exchange that connect to TMS may result in meetings where the WebEx portion of the
meeting cannot be joined through WebEx applications if the exception falls beyond the last regular
meeting occurrence in the meeting series.
The following issues exist for exceptions to a recurring meeting series using CMR Hybrid meetings and
Productivity Tools:
Exceptions to a recurring meeting series for CMR Hybrid meetings are still NOT supported as of
WBS29.13, and users are warned accordingly (for example, unsupported editing options are
disabled, and error messages are included in email invitations) when they attempt to schedule them
using Productivity Tools.
WebEx meeting applications and TelePresence devices can join the same CMR Hybrid meeting,
even if a normal exception to a meeting series has been created. WebEx does not support creating
orphan meeting exceptions, such as adding WebEx to a single occurrence of a meeting series.
Hosts can still edit the following items for a CMR meeting series that does not have exceptions:
WebEx special properties, such as alternate hosts, audio options, and the WebEx meeting password;
Microsoft Outlook common properties, such as subject and attendees; and TelePresence properties.
Once an exception has been made to a CMR Hybrid recurring meeting series, the following
conditions exist:
The Outlook common properties can still be edited for both the exception and the meeting
series.
The TelePresence properties cannot be edited for either the exception or the meeting series
(the panel for editing TelePresence settings is disabled).
The WebEx special properties cannot be edited for either the exception or the meeting series.
The Mac version of Productivity Tools, which is new in WBS29.13, is expected to have similar
limitations for exceptions to a meeting series.
In-meeting experience
When the language is set to Korean, the meeting topic might sometimes show incorrect characters.
The video settings button does not appear for the Participants panel on a Mac when a participant is
viewing shared content in full-screen mode.
Keyboard navigation and screen reader support:
Video thumbnail items in the Participant panel do not support navigation using the Tab key.
Some items in file sharing and in the Polling panel don't support navigation using the Tab key.
Items within the video full-screen view don't support navigation using the Tab key.
Elements inside the video user interface don't support screen readers.
Video thumbnail items don't support screen readers.
The participant list within the Participant panel doesn't support screen readers.
Some elements for file sharing and in the Polling panel don't support screen readers.
Attendee invitations
Starting in WBS29.6, if a host removes any attendees for an event, the link to the event from the invitation
will no longer be valid for those removed attendees. If you are planning to invite people for a mass-mailing
list, we recommend that you use a third-party mailing service, and then link to the event address for attendees.
When connecting to a remote computer with Windows 10, the local screen will not be able to be blacked
out.
Meeting Center attendees are able to save Universal Communications Format Files (UCF) to their
computers, even when the host has canceled the save privilege for them.
Windows apps do not appear in the Access Anywhere or Remote Access Add Application dialog box.
When a Mac participant of a Meeting Center meeting is sharing and annotating the whiteboard, the
annotation color is incorrect when the square or oval shape is selected.
MP4 and MOV video files cannot be shared in a WebEx Meeting if they cannot be played by the installed
QuickTime player
Recommended System requirements for video file sharing on Presenter side:
Core2-Duo E6750 @ 2.66GHz for VGA file is required
AMD 9650 2.3GHz (4 core) 8GB is preferred
Intel Core 2 Duo -E7400 2.8GHz 2.79GHz is preferred
Flash client
The Event Center Flash client has the following known issues:
The total number of attendees is not displayed to a Flash attendee
A Flash attendee cannot automatically view in full screen when Presenter is performing Desktop or
Application sharing
The mouse scroll button does not work in the Country and Region list of Global Call-in number
A Flash attendee cannot view the laser pen used during Presentation sharing
Flash Attendees are not included in Attendee Statistics when the Presenter shares an Audio or Video
file
Panelist names are listed chronologically and not alphabetically
No tool tip appears for the recording indicator
In full screen mode, the Global Call-in number is not displayed
The Feedback page will not be displayed if a pop-up blocker is enabled
In the Attendance report, a Flash attendee's real IP address will not be displayed; instead "127.0.0.1"
will be displayed
iCalendar attachment
When WebEx sends the first and second event reminder to attendees, the iCalendar attachment that attendees
use to automatically add the event to their calendar application is missing.
Past events
The past event identification criteria is not consistent between the Event Center page and Welcome pages.
According to Event Center logic, an event belongs to past events after the scheduled start time is passed.
However, if the scheduled start time has passed, the event is still listed on the Welcome page, even when
Show past meetings is not selected. [244342]
Past events status shows on the Event Center calendar for attendee's view. When an attendee looks the Event
Center calendar and selects Show past events, all past events are displayed with Register and/or Not started
status; however, no status should appear for past events on an attendee's view. [244153]
Event templates
When a host saves the event as a template, the list of attendees and panelists is not saved; however, the panelist
information and the panelist password are saved. [180534]
Money symbol
The money symbol is missing for the budget field on the program information page. [183019]

If you want to make branding changes, you should contact your customer support manager (CSM).
For additional information about recommended bandwidth configuration settings for CMR Hybrid
meetings, see "Prerequisites" in the Cisco Collaboration Meeting Rooms (CMR) Hybrid Configuration
Guide on the Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (TMS) Configuration Guides page.
Site administrators should also make sure that the Meeting Center PRO TelePresence session type is
enabled for your site:
The Meeting Center PRO TelePresence session type will give users a different user interface in
the WebEx Productivity Tools integration to Microsoft Outlook than the standard WebEx integration
with Outlook.
If you want existing users on your site to use CMR Hybrid, you need to batch-enable them for the
Meeting Center Pro TelePresence session type-it is not enabled for them automatically.
When your site is enabled for CMR Hybrid, the Default for New Users checkbox is automatically
checked next to the Meeting Center PRO TelePresence session type site administration option. If
you do not want new users to be enabled for CMR Hybrid automatically, you should uncheck the
Default for New Users checkbox.
You can also create additional custom session types based on the Meeting Center TelePresence
session type.
Site administrators cannot make any changes to CMR Hybrid user interface for WebEx Productivity
Tools. For example, administrators cannot change the branding for the CMR Hybrid Meeting Options
panel within the Outlook integration, cannot hide information in the Meeting Options panel or in the
TelePresence or WebEx Advanced Settings dialog boxes, and cannot limit the number of video call-in
participants the user can enter.
Although screen sharing (formerly called "desktop sharing" and application sharing are supported in
CMR Hybrid meetings, some standard sharing features, such as file sharing, annotation, and whiteboard
sharing, are not supported in CMR Hybrid meetings.
Starting with WBS29, recording is supported for CMR Hybrid meetings; however, it has the following
known issues and limitations:
CMR Hybrid meeting recordings will be in MP4 format. Video will be recorded at 360 p.
When users play back the recording, they can see screen sharing, application sharing, active speaker
video camera feeds, the participant, list, chat, and polling. However, if users download the
recordings, the screen sharing, application sharing, and audio portion is in one MP4 file, and does
not contain active speaker video camera feeds, the participant list, chat, and polling.
For more information about recording CMR Hybrid meetings, see Recording and Playback FAQs in
the WebEx Meeting Center Frequently Asked Questions found at http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/
conferencing/webex-meeting-center/products-user-guide-list.html.

Screen sharing (formerly called "desktop sharing") and application sharing are supported in CMR Hybrid
meetings, but some standard content sharing features, such as file sharing, annotation, and whiteboard
sharing, are not supported.
Starting with Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (Cisco TMS) version 14.4, administrators can
configure Cisco TMS to allow TelePresence participants to join a CMR Hybrid meeting up to 5 minutes
before the scheduled start time. TelePresence doesn't join the meeting until the first TelePresence
participant dials in to the meeting. Cisco TMS does not dial out to WebEx until the scheduled start time
of the meeting. For more information, see "Configuring Allow Early Join" in the "Configuring Conference
Settings in Cisco TMS" section of the Cisco Collaboration Meeting Rooms (CMR) Hybrid Configuration
Guide on the Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (TMS) Configuration Guides page.
CMR Hybrid meetings do not support "VoIP Only" audio.
Scheduling large CMR Hybrid meetings requires that administrators set capacity limits. To mute everyone
except the speaker, participants need to be muted in both WebEx and TelePresence:
