Crime Prevention

- Citizens will be encouraged that all the youth in the neighborhood have positive ways
to spend their spare time, through organized recreation, tutoring programs, part-time work, and
volunteer opportunities. By allowing the youth to take part in activities and using their spare time
wisely and not using their spare time to do anything that is meant to be prevented.
- Citizens will be required to know about hotlines, crisis centers.By requiring this citizens will be
able to act in a case of an emergency or if they have any concerns with any situation.
- By making it possible for neighbors to report suspicious activity or crimes without fear of
retaliation. By doing this it will allow the community to not only feel safe but to also feel confident
that that they are not alone.

- Schools will be encouraged to teach violence prevention to younger children. By

allowing younger children to learn from an early age about the problems that may happen in
their community and what to do in that case will allow children to know right from wrong.
- For the citizens it will be made easy to talk with someone of authority to identify and tackle any
community conditions that they are concerned about. By allowing the community to know that
they are not going to be ignored but be listened to, will allow the community to have no ill
feelings towards the people who are there to serve and protect them.
