SLT Stipend form- Due by June 17, 2016- forms are to be returned to Stacy Gangi
Uniform Policy-Electronic survey will be sent out to parents in April/May and the SLT will
come to a consensus during the June 2016 meeting.
Review of Upcoming Vacancies: Parent seats expiring are Bishop, Fini and Matos. Faculty seats
expiring are Darbouze, Dykeman, and Siciliano. Elections will be held in May.

2015-2016 CEP Review

All testing should be completed soon and the scores should be available by the
May meeting to update the CEP

School Based Budget - Update

Dr. Caraisco distributed the My Galaxy report to review the budget. All monies have been
scheduled.
Skedula cannot be purchased only for certain grades. Annual cost is $7,000.
I-Readys diagnostic plan is $5,000 versus $18,000 for diagnostic and home use.
 Part of Skedula monies was spent on furniture for additional 4th Grade class next year, paper, ink
and books.
Survey was given to staff as to how they feel about i-Ready and Skedula. The response rate was
27% [is this right?]
I-Ready results were: 18% support continuing diagnostic & home use, 33%
support diagnostic plan only, 29% do not support using i-Ready, 14% reported
that their grade doesnt use i-Ready and 3% are not sure.
Skedula results were: 14% support using Skedula, 66% do not support it, and 14%
dont use Skedula.

Report from the Principal

Lunchroom expansion- Luncheon expansion approved. The school is receiving $1m from Senator
Avella. Due to insufficient funds, lunchroom will only get a renovation, not an expansion.
Removal of Wall for additional 4th Grade class next year was accepted by Chris Mangiano.
RESO-A grant- $300,000 for Auditorium upgrade for 2015-2016. Nicole Colon is preparing
application for 2016-2017 funds.
Capital Funds- Requesting to match the money
NYSTL Fund- waiting for money to come in. School needs level libraries. Too many books in the
library and bookcases are falling apart. Nicole Colon will look into leveling our library. There are
specific requirements from the DOE regarding purchasing bookcases.
RACL- currently 730 students in the school
o Currently the school is predicting 759 for next year.
o Register projections were approved
Compliance update:
o Attendance- September (97.23%); October (97.97%), November (97.73%); December
(97.34%); January (96.75%), February (96.67%).
o Attendance awards were emailed home and there was an email to grades with 100%
attendance
Party Policy- Will remain the same as this year.
Cellphone/iPad policy- Will remain the same.
Start and end times for 2016-2017 will remain the same for Main and Annex Buildings.
Teachers will spend BQE day looking over grading policies. So a child is not penalized on 4
different categories with one grade. Also examining if grades are matching up with units of study.
Cluster Teachers: a Qualitative & Quantitative Assessment needs to be looked into.

April Agenda: SLT business, CEP, Budget, Chancellors Regulations, Bylaws, Report from Principal, Student
council will visit in May, other items, creation of agenda
