Precipitation

Precipitation is water that comes down from the clouds.

Occurs when so much water has condensed that the air

cannot hold it anymore.

The clouds get heavy and water falls back to the earth in
the form of rain, snow, sleet, or hail.
 Rain
Precipitation in the form of a liquid
 Snow
Precipitation in the form of snowflakes, or ice crystals
 Sleet
Precipitation that is a mixture of rain and snow
 Hail
Precipitation in the form of balls or lumps of ice
