Summary of the Event (at least 3 major points; each point will have its own
paragraph)
A. Pakistan has allowed a 29-year-old Jewish activist to change his religion from
Islam to Judaism.
B. NADRA, which was in a fix over the issue, had asked for the interior ministry's
opinion to correct the religion of a former Muslim, a ministry source was quoted as
saying by the daily. In its response, the ministry said in writing that "the applicant may be
allowed to practice religion of (his) choosing and preference".
C. Pakistani Jews, a few in numbers, usually hide their identity from public.
According to a top NADRA official, their identity details, such as house addresses, in the
authority's records are treated as top secret. _
Your Opinion of the Event (at least 3 sentences).
_I believe that it was the right thing to do their giving a person a chance to be able to
believe a religion of their choice._I believe everyone has a choice to choose and to have
an opinion on something we might agree or disagree but that was an idea that can change
and lead to better.
Relate your Event to a Historical Event (compare and contrast with current event).
_Islam is the world's fastest growing religion - and not just in Muslim majority
nations: 10% of all Europeans are projected to be members of the Muslim faith by 2050,
according to a recent Pew Research Center study. The study estimates that from 2010 to
2050, Muslims will have increased across the world by 73%, followed by Christians who
are projected to grow by 35% during the same time period, and Hindus at 34% comparing
they both have to do with religion of Islam. The contrast is that 29 year old activist
change his religion from islam to judaism and supposedly the study estimates that from
2010 to 2050, Muslims will have increased across the world with their religion but maybe
that can change if one person ended up changing how many more can too.
