To Whom It May Concern:

Hi I am Eduardo Ramirez and I am also a student at Antelope High School I am also on the JV soccer
team. The topic I will be writing to you about is the about the syrian refugee crisis. The United States
should consider helping the 13 million syrian refugees who need to be supported. Also the United
States should attempt to help these refugees escape from ISIS because the refugees have lost their
homes due to the violence. The United States should allow the refugees to enter and begin new lives
far away from the fear of death.

Presently the syrian refugees need help escaping from the terrorist group. This is because ISIS has
invaded multiple area in syria Barack Obama says the U.S. will take in 10,000 refugees(Mathews) to
help them achieve better lives. But one fear is that terrorists will somehow manage to sneak in along
with the real refugees. In many cases the children live through traumatic events they lose family and
friends and many suffer psychological trauma. Also many families are separated and never reunite
again 6.3 million refugees have been displaced within syria and half of them are children.

Similarly during the holocaust the world remained silent and did not attempt to stop the killing of
innocent Jews. The Jews were treated like animals and were uncared for. Also these refugees are
innocent people who are being attacked by military power and there are a lot of heavy casualties at
least 250,000 died(Kusler). Most of the victims had nothing to do with the war.

Help should be provided to the helpless victims or the number of casualties will continue to grow. I
disagree with what the choice has been regarding the refugees. The refugees should be let in and
helped and not turned away back to the deadly place they came from.

Taking everything into account the victims of this crisis should be helped to avoid the repetition of
history. I would like for you to vote in favor of the refugees so you could help the defenseless victims.
Thank You for your time.
