Ibuprofen

Purpose:[1]

Advil is a medicine brand which composed of Ibuprofen. Ibuprofen is in a propionic acid

group and it major role is to reduce pain such as headache, migraine, postoperative dental pain, and

soft tissue disorder etc. The pain that can be reduce is usually little to medium pain. Moreover, it

can be applicate for Patent Ductus arterosus (PDA) disease, Rheumatoid(RA), and osteo-arthritis

(OA). Ibuprofen came to replace Aspirin since 1969, because it cause less side effects. The common

side effects are nausea and gastric discomfort. The side effects occurs because the drug inhibit

cyclo-oxygenase. Cyclo-oxygenases is involve in prostaglandins synthesis which it major role is to

produce pain, inflammation and fever. Usually, people take this drug three times per day for about

400 to 800 mg each. To show it best ability, the patients need to obtain it by mouth. After take in it,

it will reduce pain with in 1 to 2 hours and will eliminated from the body by metabolism(mostly in

urine) with in 24 hours. For the most effective, the drug need to take in before meal. This drug can

be used in both children and adult.
