In India, the invaluable importance of physical fitness has been emphasized right from the beginning by our ancient sages
and learned scholars who were totally unequivocal in asserting the supreme necessity of physical fitness in human life and who
themselves always remained physically and mentally fit. They always took extra pains to ensure that they remained physically fit
under all circumstance. This explains how they used to leas a normal active life even after crossing the age of hundred. We all must
learn some lessons from our worthy ancestors who always remained fit. We too can follow their example if we lead a disciplined life
like them and absolutely refrain from doing all such things which adversely affect our physical fitness.

(1) Who emphasised the valuable importance of physical fitness ?

(2) What kind of life should we lead ?

(5) Suggest a suitable title for the passage.

Q.No-7 Write a letter to the Municipal Commissioner expressing your objection on the hoardings displaying women in an objectionable and

05
Q.No-8 Write a summary of the following passage in about two third of the original passage. Give a suitable title to the passage. Summary
must be written on the provided place only.
05
There is no denying the fact that since time immemorial, millions of birds all across the glove have been moving from one place to
another in search of food and shelter. Of late keen interest has been shown by the people in this phenomenon. Thousand of club and
societies of bird watchers have mushroomed in the west, keeping a watch on bird movements and trying to solve the mysteries
surrounding their migration.
In developed countries such as Britain, Germany, Japan, the USA and Sweden one can see a number of people of all age group,
pensioners to school going children, moving about meadows, forests and parks, on river banks and sea-shores with cameras and
note books, jotting down the names, size, colours and food habits of different birds. The best way to know a bird is to flick through
the pages of an authentic book written by some renowned author such as Salim Ali. Birds are generally shy and do not like human
intrusion in their territory.
