YEAR 3 GEOGRAPHY
Year 3 have been learning about the rainforest and this week tasted some food which grows there.
They tasted pineapple, papaya, mango, coconut water and chocolate. They have also made a
beautiful display showing the layers of the rainforest and used their creative skills to draw some of
the animals which live there.

Anay Nair (Year 1) has been awarded the

dinosaur in this year's Dinomania event but watch out, you may

After a week of exams and intense study, I was 25m Fly: Jake Wakeling, 15.4s (NSR)

Years 3 - 8 have now achieved 95 English Schools Athletics Associations GOLD standards. We hit
105 Golds during the 2016 athletics season. Well done to all our athletes, a fabulous achievement!!

South Gloucestershire Schools Championship


Congratulations to Otis Walker, U13 Boys 800m, and Dalis Jones, U15 Girls 1500m, who both
became South Gloucestershire Schools Champions after winning their races on Wednesday. Their
victories qualify them for the Avon Schools Championships next month. Both pupils equalled their
PBs, 2m 31s and 4m 50s respectively.
