floor consideration of a resolution directing
the Ways and Means Committee to review
President Trumps tax returns and report its
findings to the House. A yes vote opposed
debate on the measure.
Child Pornography: The House voted, 368
Y Y Y N Y -51, to redefine intent in federal child-
exploitation law in a way that makes it easier
to prosecute producers of child porn. A yes
vote was to pass HR 1761 over arguments
that it would weaken efforts to reform
mandatory-minimum sentencing.

N N Voting 82-13, the Senate confirmed Terry
Branstad, 70, Iowas longest serving governor
and an early backer of Donald Trumps
presidential candidacy, as U.S. ambassador
to the Peoples Republic of China. A yes vote
was to confirm Branstad.
