Sully: Story of a Hero

This story revolves on a person named Cheseley Sully Sullenberger.

Many of us think that heroes are people with extraordinary ability and doesn't

exist in real life but Sully showed that we can be a hero in our own ways.

On Jan. 15, 2009, Capt. Cheseley "Sully" Sullenberger tries to make an

emergency landing in New York's Hudson River after his plane loses both two

engines after a bird strike. Miraculously, all of the 155 passengers survived with

only minor injuries. When the news came, Sully was declared by everyone as a

hero who made the impossible but in life there will always be doubts on one's

action. The NSTB claimed that Capt. Sully may have landed on LaGuardia intact

without endangering the passengers' lives ( There's a significant decrease in

survivors on planes who landed on water). Making the situation worse, after 20

computer simulations and pilot sims, all of them successfully land on LaGuardia.

This haunt him for days until the trial has come. He realized that the timing is the

last missing factor. He explained that they are the first one to experience the

event and they don't have the preparedness for the event compared to the pilot

sims who practiced the landing 17 times.

This proved that Sully only did what's right and because of his decisions,

155 lives were saved. In life there are things that will come to life that we did not

expect to happen. There also people who will question your actions because they

do not sees to be right according to their standards. Always remember if you did

your best for the sake of everyone, no one has the right to question you.
