To give a different per-

which means the art of

fascinating pieces from the
Indus Valley civilization.
As part of the South

Art of Kreeda opened for
general public on May 3
and will conclude on May
28.
"Since I am from Ah-

contributions of India to
the world during the South

said Raheel Patel, 37, guest
curator of the exhibition. "I
thought it would be a good
opportunity for me to put
these things together."
Patel is a curator and vi-

The historic board games

Chess: Chess is a two-player strategy game played
on a board with 64 squares arranged in an
eight-by-eight grid. Each player begins with 16 pieces
- one king (raja), one queen (rani), two rooks, two
knights, two bishops, and eight pawns. The objective
is to checkmate the opponents king by placing it
under an inescapable threat of capture.

Snakes and ladders: Its a race game played on a

board between two or more people. Its board contains
gridded squares having numbers, snakes and ladders
each connecting two specific board squares. The
object of the game is to navigate ones game piece,
according to die rolls, from the start (bottom square)
to the finish (top square), helped or hindered by
ladders and snakes respectively.
