Long-Term Occasional Teacher: AIT, Grades K-8- HWCDSB- Hamilton, ON January - June 2017
Our Lady of the Assumption, St. Ann's (Ancaster), St. John the Baptist
Created a vast array of dierentiated lesson plans, resources , and assignments with guidance from
curriculum documents, Artsaround, and personal research.
Implemented assessments for, of, and as learning through exit cards, self-reflections, written and video
journals, peer editing and adjudicating performances.
Experienced with Trillium and the report card system along with knowledge of the Growing Success
Document.
Organized field trips to the Bishop Ryan Music Gala and Canadas Wonderland.
Led the primary choir (Grades 1-3) at OLOA for school Masses and coordinated weekly practice

Teacher Volunteer - Cardinal Newman CSS - Stoney Creek ON September 2015-June 2016
Assisted in an LD Grade 9/10 and 4E Science class by providing individual support to students with
learning exceptionalities as well as leading labs.
Assisted in keyboard and musical theatre classes by providing feedback on student performance and
teaching music theory.
Provided instrumental support for the woodwind section in a Grade 9 band class.
Helped supervise and lead science field trips to the Dundas Conservation Centre in Hamilton, as well
as participate in singing for school Masses and programs.

Vocal/Piano Teacher - Merriam School of Music - Oakville ON Sept. 2015 - Dec. 2016
Provide private vocal and piano lessons in an individualized setting. Students are of various cultural
and linguistic backgrounds, as well as a large age range (9 to 60). Duties include creating weekly lesson
plans which reflect dierentiated instruction in order to best suit the needs of each student.
Additional responsibilities include creating student profiles, writing detailed report cards outlining
strengths and areas of improvement, maintaining frequent contact with students parents, and
preparing students for end of year exams and recitals.

Practicum 2 - North Toronto Collegiate Institute, Toronto ON Feb. 27 - April 2, 2015


Student Teacher - Grade 9, 10, 11 and 12 Vocal Music
Developed vocal warm-ups, coached rehearsals during class time, and conducted the after school choir
which had over 100 students. Also provided a choral conducting workshop for the senior class.
Created various forms of assessment such as music theory workstations, quizzes, student self-
reflection and analysis, and peer editing. Lessons reflected backward design and hands-on learning
experiences to facilitate the creative process, such as manipulating a simple melodic sequence to
create a musical composition.

Practicum 1 - Senator O Connor CSS - North York ON October 27 - November 21, 2014
Student Teacher - Grade 11 & 12 Advanced Placement Biology
For Grade 11, developed and taught the Evolution unit. Constructed and administered various forms
of assessment, including exit cards, quizzes, reviews, online activities, presentations, and a unit test.
Provided after-school and lunch hour tutoring assistance to students who needed extra help
understanding certain concepts taught in class.
For Grade 12, taught several lessons on molecular genetics, homeostasis, and marked biotechnology
presentations.
Assisted in lab work on a field trip to the Ontario Science Centre. Labs included DNA
transformation and Gel-electrophoresis.
