Let me be clear the experience you described ofa former student ie not acceptable. t pains me ta hear of ary child who does not feel safe and supported inthe classroom, However, itstekes me as equally unacceptable that you attempt to malign East Hartford Public Schools asanillustraton of al thats broken in pubic education. n realty, this school community sets itself apart as an example of what we can accomplish working together to deliver on the promise public ‘education holds for al our students. Ensuring that ol children, regardless of rp code or if circumstance, have equitable access toa high- ‘quality education hasbeen both atop policy and budgetary piety for my administration.
