Perform escort duties as required within the scope and confines of the Security
Department Regulations.
Audit / Complete accident, incident, investigation reports, which correctly reflect the
events, participants, location, and time, of events which involve the patrons, employees,
property, and assets of the Hoosier Park in a concise and professional format.
Perform any and all evaluations as directed relative to their span of control.
Assist the Indiana Gaming Agents and other Law Enforcement Agencies as requested.
Initiate, monitor, and document coaching and counseling, attendance, and benefit
requests relative to their span of control.
This job will assist the Director and/or Assistant Director of Security in providing
overall coordination and supervision of the Security Officers in the absence of
superiors. They will assist in the preparation of performance evaluations and may be
delegated the responsibility of signing timecards. All disciplinary actions will be
conducted by the Director of Assistant Director of Security.
Requirements EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and
correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in
written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete
variables in standardized situations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or
hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or
feel; reach with hands and arms; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally
required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must
regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds,
and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by
this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth
perception.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside
weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid
conditions; moving mechanical parts; and high, precarious places. The noise level in the
work environment is usually moderate.
