ABSTRAK

Kajian tentang hubungan antara parameter model dan parameter peramalan meru-
pakan suatu kajian yang mendesak dan penting dilakukan agar diperoleh suatu
kepastian tentang bagaimana sebenarnya pengaruh dari salah satu parameter mo-
del terhadap sesama parameter model yang lain dan terhadap parameter pera-
malan. Untuk melakukan pembahasan terhadap masalah ini, dipilih kasus pera-
malan cuaca (weather forecasting) sebagai model kasus untuk dikaji hubungan
antara parameter model dan peramalan peramalan. Model yang digunakan adalah
Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP), sedangkan peramalannya adalah peramalan
cuaca yang dikembangkan lembaga riset Naval Research Laboratory - Marine me-
teorology Divison Monterey California Amerika Serikat, The Coupled Ocean /
Atmosphere Mesoscale Prediction System (COAMPS). Pembahasan tentang hu-
bungan antara parameter model dan peramalan adalah dengan memanfaatkan mo-
del Lorenz dan model statistika. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah bahwa parame-
ter SLP semakin meningkat dengan meningkatnya parameter rdtime dan dtrad; pa-
rameter BLH hanya sedikit mempengaruhi parameter rdtime dan dtrad; hubungan
antara parameter model dan parameter peramalan bersifat linear dan non-linear;
dan hubungan antara parameter model dan parameter peramalan adalah kompleks.

 ABSTRACT

Studies on the relationship between model parameters and forecasting parameter is

an urgent and important study carried out in order to obtain some certainty about
how exactly the effect of one parameter model for others of other model parame-
ters and forecast parameters. To make the discussion of the issue, selected cases
of weather forecasting (weather forecasting) as a model case to study the relation-
ship between model parameters and weather forecasting. The model used was the
Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP), while its forecasting is weather forecasting
research institute developed the Naval Research Laboratory - Monterey California
Marine Division meteorological United States, The Coupled Ocean / Atmosphere
Mesoscale Prediction System (COAMPS). A discussion of the relationship between
parameters and the forecasting model is to utilize the Lorenz model and statistical
model. The conclusion of this study is that the SLP parameters increase with the
increased parameter rdtime and dtrad; parameters of BLH is not so affect the para-
meters rdtime and dtrad; relationship between parameters and parameter forecasting
model is linear and non-linear, and the relationship between model parameters and
forecasting is complex.
