To Whom It May Concern:

I was excited to see your opening for an Elementary Education Teacher on OLAS, and I
hope to be invited for an interview. I am writing to you today to discuss my qualifications for the
position.

During my years of schooling I have had much experience with interacting with children as
well as educating them. My earliest experience was when I attended East Meadow High School and
completed one hundred hours of community service volunteering at an elementary school. I then
attended Molloy College where I progressed through their education program from a pre-
professional teacher to upon graduation becoming a professional teacher. I received a degree in
Childhood Education with a content focus in Mathematics and also became Special Education
certified.

As a teacher, I believe it is my role to instill my students with the skills that they require to
succeed in anything that they want to pursue. In harmony with the ideas of multiple intelligences by
Howard Gardener, I will impart these skills to my students in numerous ways. I will fit these skills
into my lessons by incorporating as many of the different intelligences as I can in order to reach
every single one of my students. Whenever information is presented in my childhood math special
education classroom, it will be presented in a way for every student to fully comprehend. May the
student be a visual, auditory, tactile, or kinesthetic learner I will present all of my work in a way
that every student will fully understand. This is so that they all have an equal opportunity to
appreciate all of the concepts of mathematics or any other subject I teach in my childhood
classroom. Differentiated instruction is key when students with special needs are in my classroom.
Every student learns differently and in a classroom where a student with special needs is involved
differentiated instruction is crucial to their learning.

I also bring to the table the experience of teaching religious education, being a head
instructor at a tutoring center and also tutoring students for over 6 years in grades 1st-7th. Also
working with students with disabilities at a day care as well as a summer camp. I have also had a
lot of experience working alongside many teachers in co-teaching environments. My latest
experience was teaching a second grade class at Our Lady of Victory School. I am currently
teaching a self- contained 3/4/5 bridge class in Brooklyn for the Department of Education.

I thank you for taking time to reading this letter. Please feel free to call me at 516-506-
2216 to arrange an interview. Thank you for your time -- I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Brittany DArienzo
