Job summary

Red Hat's Marketing team is looking for a Marketing Operations Data Analyst. In this role,
you will connect business objectives with measurable outcomes, to deliver actionable
recommendations based on data and ensure best practices in campaign planning and
execution, lead generation, segmentation, and data management. You will be expected to
stay up-to-date on industry and technology trends, write detailed technical documentation,
troubleshoot issues, and help continuously enhance our marketing infrastructure. You will be
working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects at once, which involve
stakeholders from across the company.

Primary job responsibilities

Consult with stakeholders, business analysts, and solution architects to answer key
business questions through the development of scalable decisions support systems and the
delivery of actionable ad/hoc analysis
Create predictive models and advise stakeholders regarding how to respond to insights
and observations

Develop and maintain accurate, visually engaging, and highly actionable reports and
dashboards

Perform administrative tasks within key marketing systems

Monitor for data quality within the marketing database, troubleshoot data anomalies, and
escalate data issues to be resolved

Contribute to detailed technical documentation, including user stories, data-flow


diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams, blog posts, and more

Create, present, and publish presentations for executives describing observations and
insights drawn from data

Required skills

7+ years of work experience and a bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics,


economics, engineering, or related field; master's degree in a related field is a plus

Experience with various ETL techniques and tools (e.g., Pentaho, Celery, Python)

Extensive experience using BI frameworks (e.g., Business Objects, QlikView, SPSS, R)


and data visualization (e.g, SAS VA, Tableau)

Experience developing web applications using SQL; HTML and JavaScript is beneficial

Solid analytical skills (including mastery of Microsoft Excel) and experience with
advanced reporting and data analysis tools (e.g., QlikView)

Passionate with great problem solving skills; ability to learn on your own and work in an
ambiguous environment

Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time, in a fast-paced environment, across
time zones and with different cultures

The following are considered a plus:

Extensive experience with Adobe Marketing Cloud (including Analytics, Target,


Campaign, etc.) using SiteCatalyst, Discover, API, etc. to surface reliable data and analysis in
support of anomaly detection and add/hoc reporting

Familiar with marketing automation systems (e.g., Eloqua) and CRM (e.g.,
Salesforce.com) and other related technologies
