Chemical Analysis:
SpectroMeter:
We are the first independent lab in the region to use latest Optical Emission Spectrometer for
Chemical Analysis of steel. Besides setting high standard for accuracy of result it is also cost
effective and consume very less time compare to traditional wet analysis method.
Spectrometer analysis of elements like C,Si,Mn,P,S,Cr,Ni,Mo,Ti,V etc can be know & high
accuracy is ascertained with the use International Certified Reference Material.

Mechanical Testing :
Tensile Testing, Bend & Re-bend Testing.
We are equipped with FIE make electronic Universal Tensile Machine to test under Tension
and Compression.

Mechanical properties like Ultimate Tensile Strength (UTS), Yield Stress(YS), Proof
Stress, %Elongation & % Reduction in area can be determined in Plates, Pipes &
TMT Bars etc

To check the Ductility of a Material Bend testing is used, bending strength can be
determined in a material and Presence of cracks can be revealed, RML is equipped
with various mandrel size to test as per the requirements of different Specifications.

Hardness Testing:
 Saroj Make Brinell Hardness Machine to determine to Hardness Value in Forging,
Casting, Plates ,Rounds & Alloy Steels etc

Impact Testing:
The impact test is a method for evaluating the toughness and notch sensitivity of engineering
materials. It is usually used to test the toughness of metals. Moreover some materials such as
carbon steels undergo what is known as a ductile to brittle transition, this transition
behaviour can evaluated by testing in sub zero degree temperature
Charpy Impact Testing

The Charpy impact test, also known as the Charpy V-notch test, is a standardized
high strain-rate test which determines the amount of energy absorbed by a material
during fracture. In the Charpy method, there are two kinds of notches, the V-notch
and the U-notch,
I-zod Test

The notch in the izod test is facing the striker, The specimen is clamped vertically on
the anvil with the notch facing the Hammer fastened in a pendulum, while in
the charpy test, the notch is positioned away from the striker. In the Izod method,
there is only one kind of notch

Microstructure Analysis.

RML is equipped with Metallurgical Microscope named MAIS(Metallurgical Image

Analysis System) which is an advanced system for Metallographic study of metals.
This system is based on the technology transfer from BARC (Bhabha Atomic
Research Centre), and conforms to ASTM Standards.
The software is totally automatic and provides analysis of micro structure for Steel,
Iron and Aluminum.

 Machine Workshop: -
Our in-House workshop offers sample preparation and machining of items required for
testing, thus saving the time and money of customer by providing all service under one roof.
Sample are prepared as per the governing specification or as per the requirement of customer.
Shaper, Lathe, Polishing, Surface Grinder & Cutting Machine within Premises for sample
preparation.
