Qualifications

PhD Environmental Science Salford University

MSc Environmental Resources - Salford University
MSc Zoology (Entomology) Benin City
BSc (Hons) Zoology Ilorin
8 including Maths and English at grades A to C

Practical skills:

My course has included individual and team projects, field reports, commentaries,
management plans and statistical analyses. I am proficient at sample collection;
methods including the use of HTH gravity corer and Russian corer.

I have recently concluded a research which requires the use of laboratory elemental
analysis. I employed ICP-OES preceded by microwave-assisted digestion. This was
because of easiness of operation, detection limit, cost effectiveness, speed of analysis
and number of samples.

I have conducted research into the use of lake sediment records/soil sediment records
as monitor of environmental change. All the magnetic analysis were conducted by me.
I investigated human impacts on the environment and particularly the possibility of the
presence of trace metal deposition through atmospheric pollution. I investigated the
levels of lake sediment pollution through trace or heavy metal deposition.

I have made a number of presentations on this research at International Science

Conference and some of the findings have been published in Journals of Science
literature review.
