I. INTRODUCTION

Rocks are generally high-hard materials, which is why in some cases mechanical dismantling has
not been achieved and explosive dismantling is necessary.

Explosives such as rocks present problems that can hinder efficient detonation. These are the
presence of faults, fractures and rocks near the water table, as well as the improper use of
explosives.

It is intended to answer questions such as to what extent the flaws can be beneficial or harmful to
the explosive dismantle. Explosives are chemicals that when triggered or when they reach their
ignition temperature generates large explosions and excessive amounts of heat.

1. TITLE AND TOPIC OF THE PROJECT

Explosive disassembly of rocky materials of very high hardness and presence of faults, such as
eliminating presence and bumps and maximizing production.

1.1. Type of Final Project

According to the objectives expressed in the theme, the qualitative and exploratory research will
be used, which will provide greater familiarity with the problem, Bibliographic survey,
Bibliographic research and case study.

2. OBJECTIVES GENERAL

Study the problems of disassembly failures in the explosive base.

Specific Objectives

Propose solutions to reduce kernels.

Increase yield and productivity.
Suggest alternatives to knockdowns.
Academic approval.

3. Theoretical Background

Explosives are used on the rocks following a certain type of recommended mesh and the
characteristics of the rocks to be dismantled. In many cases without taking into account that there
may be faults that were not studied during geological surveys, the geology of a site is site
specific as well as the geology of the rock and so it also specifies successively down to the
smallest part the rock. It is important to take these problems into account when dismantling as it
can generate bumps, which are rocks with dimensions that the auxiliary or processing equipment
can not break.

How to solve this problem, what to do with the blasts? It is these and other related questions that
the topic intends to answer.

4. Justifying interest in the topic

3
The choice of this theme is for the following reasons:

In the use of explosives in rocks with faults it is verified a great waste of useful material because
it generates to blowholes due to the vibrations that the explosives generate in the rock.

The resolution of this problem is far from being solved because the faults are sometimes difficult
to predict in terms of location thus making it difficult to dismantle. What is intended to be
studied is the minimization of losses using idea meshes the presence of failures as well as
proposing equipment to reduce the size of the most efficient kernels.

5. Methodology

For Marconi and Lakatos (2010 page, 253) "the method consists of a series of rules for the
purpose of solving a given problem or explaining a fact through hypotheses or theories that must
be tested experimentally and can be proven or refuted."

Research will be done on digital (internet) as well as physical bibliographies available in several
libraries in the region, necessary and important information will be requested from the
companies that face these problems as well as the teachers who are experts in this area. These
procedures and the others that will be used aim at providing the work with content of great
scientific importance.
