1.1 Generic Information

g This product may need to be installed on a high-rise structure such as a mast or


roof. When installing the product, wear a safety harness and other relevant protec-
tive gear. In addition, follow all occupational health and safety regulations applica-

Preparation of installation
1.The cable output must be placed
depending on the installation needs. This
evaluation must be made before starting
the installation procedure.
2. Besides the type of the IDU, its place-
ment into the FOC should be considered.
The installation technician is charged to
choose how the IDU must be installed.

1.2 Installing on the floor

In the floor installation, the two-outputs More FOCs can be stacked and this
configuration can be used. option is only possible for the floor instal-
lation. And maximum 5 FOCs can be
stacked for zone 4 and maximum 11
FOCs for zone 2 (earthquake measures).

1.3 Installing on the pole

g Note that the blue safety washers hold the screws in place during installation. They
should be installed to the screws after the screws are through the bracket.

Tighten the screws

g Before mounting the outdoor case on the pole, install the IDU. The IDU can be
installed after having placed FOC on the pole. Do not connect the cables before
having carried out the lifting of the IDU on the pole.

1.5 General rules for IDU cabling

g Connect the grounding cable to the IDU before inserting the IDU into the case. Make
sure that the fans power supply cables can be easily reached for their successive con-
nection to fan controller board.

Connect the cable to IDU/FOC, taping the FOC is equipped with two grounding
cables at the end of the hose and fix the cables. Connect always both the cables to
cable by ties. After that, close the FOC. the grounding point inside the cover. The
unused cable can be used in a future
expansion.
