LAA ILAAHA ILLA ALLAH

All praise be to Allah, Lord of all that exists, peace and blessings be
upon His Messenger, his family and his companions, all of them
It therefore proceeds:

Laa ilaaha illa Allah, The word is pure tawhid (monotheism), which is
the greatest duty that God imposed on His slaves We can maybe look
at it as important as the brain in the human body.

So know, [O Muhammad], that there is no deity except Allah and ask

forgiveness for your sin and for the believing men and believing women.
And Allah knows of your movement and your resting place.
Muhammad-19

And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. Al
Dhariyaat-56

And many more.

Some of the ahadith about laa ilaaha illa ALLAH

Mafatih al-janna shahadatu an laa ilaaha illa Allah. "The keys to

Paradise are the witnessing that there is no god but Allah." Ahmad related
it from Mu`adh and Haythami said in Majma` al-zawa'id
It is confirmed by the next hadith.

Li kulli shay'in miftahun wa miftahu al-jannati shahadatu an la ilaha

illallah. "Everything has its key, and the key to Paradise is the
witnessing that there is no god but Allah." Narrated by Tabarani from Mu`qal ibn
Yasar. Wahb confirmed its authenticity as related in one of the chapter-titles in Bukhari's Sahih.

The meaning of the statement is: no god worthy of worship except

Allah, and its composed of 2 basic pillars:

FIRST, the true denying of divinity other than Allah, and

SECOND: to prove and accept the true divinity of Allah without
attributing partners to Him. However, it is not intended to
understand it merely as uttering the words only, but one must provide
the conditions in order it to be accepted by Allah

CONDITIONS OF LAA ILAAHA ILLA ALLAH

1- knowing:
as in the Quran Allah was talking to His Prophet Salla Allahu alayhi
wa sallam In sourah Muhammad ( ayah 19 ):

So know, [O Muhammad], that there is laa ilaaha illa Allah

And in the hadith:

"Whoever dies knowing full well that there is no god but Allah, enters
Paradise.

2- certainty:
we must not fall in any doubt of its meaning
(The believers are only the ones who have believed in Allah and His
Messenger and then doubt not but strive with their properties and
their lives in the cause of Allah . It is those who are the truthful.)
Hujuraat15

3- acceptance:
is to accept the meaning of laa ilaaha illa Allah within your heart and
to fully understand it and the acceptance here is to be the contrary of
arrogant .

.(Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but

Allah ," were arrogant) As Saffaat35

4- pander
to what is indicated by: we must act upon what Allah commanded us
to do and stay away for what He forbidde us from-.

(And whoever submits his face to Allah while he is a doer of good -

then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold. And to Allah will
be the outcome of [all] matters.) Luqman-22

Abdullah bin Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him said: "The most
trustworthy handhold is laa ilaaha illa Allah.

5- Sincerity:
this demands that one seeks to do actions which Allah is pleased with,
in a way with which He is pleased with. The root of this is knowledge.

And they were not commanded except to worship Allah , [being]

sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer
and to give zakah. And that is the correct religion.( al baynah-5)
6- love:

And [yet], among the people are those who take other than Allah as
equals [to Him]. They love them as they [should] love Allah . But
those who believe are stronger in love for Allah . And if only they who
have wronged would consider [that] when they see the punishment,
[they will be certain] that all power belongs to Allah and that Allah is
severe in punishment.(al baqara-165)

7- truthfulness

Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and
they will not be tried? But We have certainly tried those before them,
and Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will
surely make evident the liars. (Al Ankaboot 2-3)
