Communication skills are the means of exchanging ideas and information between people or places,
through mutually understood signs and rules for easy interpretation. Communication skills are
essential to build relationships, both professional and personal.
1. Oral Communication
Exchanging information, emotions, thoughts, and perceptions through speech. For example
presentations, conversations, and discussions. Oral communication must be clear, accurate
in tone, concise, and informative. Oral communication involves immediate response or
feedback from people.
2. Nonverbal communication
The process of sending and receiving messages without using words, either spoken or
written. The various types of nonverbal communication are:
Facial Expressions
Gestures
Body language and posture
Appearance
3. Written communication
Exchanging or communicating information in the written form, also called as the word based
communication. Written communication is the most important aspect in our daily life today,
both professional and personal. The different forms of written communication include:
