Creating Healing Through Understanding

This brief manual is designed to highlight the key areas as well as


powerful actions that will produce a healing environment consistent
with physical, biochemical, physiological, emotional and mental
programming, renewal, regeneration and repair.

Making changes in these areas as per the suggestions below, will have
a profound effect on your health and your quality of life.

1. Decide you are going to make positive and constructive


changes towards your healing and health, towards events
in your life and towards your existing lifestyle habits.

Intent preceeds ability.

What this means is first comes the desire, the goals, the
willingness to do what is necessary to bring about the changes
in health and quality of life you desire.

Are you truly willing to heal and commit to the proccess of


healing?
Having made the choice, you now need to take consistent
action.

2. Make choices consistent with your health goals and aims.

Take action on your goals and aims. Do what is required to


bring about the health and wellness outcomes for your life.

* Make exercise a consistent part of your daily practice.


* Eat healthy and nutritious food.
* Take time for rest and relaxation.
* Spend time in nature.
* Utilise empowering techniques such as prayer, meditation
or visualisation.
* Read empowering literature, such as Rhonda Byrne’s The
Secret, Deepak Chopra’s The 7 Spiritual Laws and Success,
James Allen’s As a Man Thinketh.

Make these daily practices.

3. Saturate yourself in a healing, loving and positive


environment.

Make certain that your environment and the things and people
of that environment influence you positively in respect to
your health and wellbeing. To do that…

Be with loving, caring people. Monitor the conversations and


excuse yourself if they do not reinforce your goals. Be with
people who encourage you, support you and your goals and
who empower you and call you to your highest self.
Read only positive books; books that motivate, energise and
inspire you. Read literature that develops your mind and
enhances your health and wellbeing. Avoid or minimise
newspapers, magazines, fantasy or sci-fi as well as all other
books. Avoid murder-mystery, horror stories, romance novels
and other sensational material.

Listen to music; Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Chopin as well as


Vivaldi, Mandelssohn or any from the Maroque period.
Listen to contemporary music with a spiritual undertone.
Listen to relaxation (rainforest or healing) tapes. Do not listen
to commercial radio or music videos and tapes.

Watch only programmes that inspire, energise and motivate


you or that develop your mind and enhance your health and
wellbeing. Avoid commercial television, limiting viewing to
documentaries or empowering and educational programmes.

4. Listen to audio tapes given for personal healing or


empowerment. Motivational tapes are of benefit too.

Use time spent travelling, constructively. Listen to personal


empowerment tapes or CDs such as Anthony Robins, Jim Rohn,
Dennis Waitley, Zig Ziglar and Brian Tracey. Alternatively, use an
MP3 player and listen to the audio compenents of programmes
such as INT’s Health and Fitness Programme, Goal Acheivement
Programme or the Finding Meaning and Purpose Programme.

Also, use empowering audio programmes as background


‘noise’ instead of the TV or radio or as time spent each day
for personal growth and enhancement.

5. Do any affirmations that promote health and wellbeing.

Utilise positive self talk. Remind yourself of the wonderful,


powerful person you are. Do not entertain negative or defeatist
comments.

Affirm the greatness that is you by constantly


repeating and programming your subconscious with
statements such as…

* I’m getting better and better everyday in every possible


way…

* I feel healthier and better each and every day…

* I have incredible health, energy and vitality and an


extrodinary quality of life…

* My life is filled with joy, happiness and peace…

* I am calm, centred and peaceful…

* I deeply and profoundly love, accept, appreciate and


respect myself…

* I have a rich, abundant and prosperous life…

6. Be aware of your internal dialouge and reinforce only positive


self talk.

Cultivate a habit of believing in yourself and reinforcing this


by what you say within your own mind. Do not focus on
limitations, rather expand your possibilities by asking
power questions such as…

* How can I…?
* What if where possible?
* Let’s take this one step at a time. What’s my next step…?

Otherwise, make powerful self-statements that increase


your confidence and self belief:

* I know I can…
* If it’s been done before, I can do it too…
* Yes! I am going to do this…
* Wow. I really believe I can do this…

By constantly asking these questions or making empowering


self-statements you condition your mind to be more creative,
solution-oriented and effective in drawing positive outcomes
to your life.

7. Find things that are healthy and beneficial and make you
happy. Do them reguarly.

Be sure to invest time in activities that energise and renew you.


Have hobbies that bring you a sense of joy and happiness. Take
art lessons, music lessions, learn a language or do a craft;
entertain a guest with evening conversations that inspire,
uplift or put on a movie nights with movies of the same genre;
create social networks with those interested in empowerment;
create a community garden, with a focus on sustainability.

Do what gives you a feeling of joy. Do what increases your life


energy and satisfaction with life.

Mostly, enjoy life and yourself.

By making these changes in your environment and in your life, you
support, facilitate and expand the healing possiblities with regard to
your health and enhance the quality and experience of your life.

Make these changes purposeful and direct, slowly if necessary, but


without compromise… and watch your life change.
