Lesson 1 Activity Instructions

1. Open the file Lesson 1 Activity from the Microsoft Word folder.
2. Center and underline the title (first line). Then change the font size of the
title to 16
3. Select the rest of document and change the alignment to Justify
4. Spell check the entire document and correct (change) any spelling mistakes
5. Use the thesaurus feature to change the word exciting in the last line
6. Use the replace function to change all the words Sweden to Canada
7. Every time you see the phrase Standard of Play, change the font of it to italic
8. Use Google Images to find two hockey related clipart images. Copy and paste
them into the document. Change the text wrap settings to Tight and make
them both approximately 2 square. Put one image towards the top-right of the
document and the other image towards the bottom left of the document.
9. Save a copy of your finished activity in your newly created MS Word Folder in
your BTT (Info Tech) folder. Save it as yourfirstname _lesson1activity.doc (i.e.
johnny_lesson1activity.doc)
10.Upload a copy into the Google Classroom Lesson 1 drop box.
