Cognitive Development Domain
Children who are 48-60 months of age (Audience) tell the differences
between the seasons features (Behavior) among to all materials and the
proper ones according to seasons (Condition) 100% accuracy (Degree).

Motor Development Domain


Children who are 48-60 months of age (Audience) cut and manipulate the
materials and create the book (Behavior) according to true season and
proper materials (Condition) at least with 90% success (Degree).
Instructional Materials & Media [ASSURE (Select Strategies,
Technology, Media and Materials)]
Two pockets (for choosing the groups and groups season), Video (With
Animoto), Leaves, soil and branch of trees and etc. (these materials can
be collected by children), Pictures of clothes and accessories (these are
related with all seasons), Cottons and water pockets , Pictures of weather
cases, Dry and fresh flowers, Glues, Crayons, Big papers and Animoto is
used for showing the all seasons by visually.

In this activity, the seasons concept is given with the mixing the all
seasons features and finding true ones for preparing seasons book by
using cooperative and discussion method. It is a child-centered activity.
Firstly, teacher prepares a video by using Animoto for showing the places
that lives only one season, and then teacher arranges the groups for
making the book according to seasons by using materials.

Individual Learning Activities Each child decides to own groups by


choosing the papers from pocket and
each child can shows their own
design in their groups.
Group Learning Activities The book is prepared as four groups
(all children) and four seasons
collaboratively.

Summary
Teacher enters to class and starts to talk about a case. Do you know that,
some places in the world, some people lives only one or two seasons? And
I have a friend who lives in poles (teacher shows the picture of poles and a
person who lives in) and she wants to know how the autumn is. Also, not
just polar region, the other places like that live just one season. And she
shows a short video about it, (it is prepared by teacher before) After that
she asks Can you help me in this issue? Then, she brings the pockets
that have colorful papers and children choose them one by one. Thus, the
groups and season for each group is found. Then teacher gives the
materials to each group. These materials are also mixed, for example; the
weather conditions can be mixed and the flowers are also both fresh and
dry and groups should decide to which ones should be omitted or added to
book. After each groups finished their own pages for a decided season,
the all pages bring close together and is exhibited by children, they tells
their own season and its features. After that, teacher makes a huge circle,
and passes the assessment part.

How do you feel if there is only autumn season is lived?

Can you tell me this (the each groups) seasons weather?
What are the differences with other seasons?

Measurement & Assessment Teacher gives huge papers to each


Activities for Individual child for drawing the season that
Performance he/she was born and wants to draw a
picture of these seasons. Then, teacher
and class can talk about these pictures
features.

The video is prepared with Animoto is saved in CD or USB, if the internet
connection gone. Also, the pictures of this video is printed, if the
electricity gone.
