I am delighted to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Miss Nikhita Reddy, who completed a
long-term 5th grade substitution position at Cypress Village Elementary School. We were very fortunate to
have Miss Nikhita Reddy join our site and do a fantastic job as a 5th grade long-term guest teacher during the
2016-2017 school year.

Miss Reddy made a seamless transition into the classroom as a long term guest teacher. From day one of
her assignment Miss Reddy, worked collaboratively with teammates, planned purposeful instructional
lessons, and delivered instruction to provide optimal learning experiences for all students in her class. Miss
Reddy used several methods of instructional strategies to meet the various learning needs of her students;
all while making learning engaging for the students. Miss Reddy planned and delivered instruction in core
subjects under the guidelines of the Common Core State Standards. In her long-term assignment Miss
Reddy facilitated learning opportunities for students through both small group and individualized student
learning settings. Miss Reddy collaborated with grade level teammates to deliver differentiated instruction
in ELA and math through RTI. Miss Reddy provided academic support for students who needed to be
challenged; needed additional instructional support grasping a concept; and who needed strategic and
targeted instruction to meet their specific learning needs. In her instruction Miss Reddy used multiple
teaching strategies aligned with the Common Core State Standards to meet the various learning needs of
students in both small and large group student settings.

Miss Reddy believes in making learning engaging for all students and provides students with immediate and
positive feedback. She helps students improve their academic skills and ability to problem solve while
building their confidence. She holds high expectations for all students and creates a learning environment
that allows students to take risks safely. She successfully works alongside teachers to provide appropriate
levels of support for all students. She is a team player and worked effectively with teammates and
colleagues. I feel confident Miss Nikhita Reddy would be a valuable member of any educational community
and would make significant contributions to increase student learning at any school site.
