AMETEK USER INSTRUCTIONS Process instruments Division + 455 Corporat Boulovard « Newark, DE 19702 + USA IN 305122000 3050 MOISTURE ANALYZER CALIBRATED SENSOR REPLACEMENT This document provides instructions for replacement of the calibrated sensor in the 3050-OLV Moisture Analyzer. Prior to performing any work on the analyzer, the following precautions should be adhered to: 1. Remove power from the analyzer. 2. ‘Tum off the flow of sample gas. 3. Purge the sample system with an inert gas to prevent a release of toxic, or flammable, samples. CALIBRATED SENSOR REMOVAL & REPLACEMENT 1. Remove top cover from analyzer. 2. Remove the electronics enclosure, exposing the sample oven enclosure. Locate the sensor assembly — the sensor is the only PC board in the oven and has two crystals and a ribbon cable attached. Using a inch wrench, loosen the fittings and the nuts on the mounting posts. Remove the sensor. Install the new sensor. Leak check the sample system. Reinstall the electronics box. Replace top cover. err ans Retnmn power to the analyzer. 10. With a PC connected to the analyzer (RS-232 or RS-485), run the configurator software. Input the new sensor serial number (refer to instrument manual for details).
