Cognitive Development
Children who are at 60-72 months of age (Audience) will know 100 percent (degree) of
the numbers from 10 to 20 (condition) and matches numbers with the objects
(behavior).
Summary
Teacher talks about some cartoons about being detective in the first. They talk for a
while. After, the teacher says that Now you will be the detectives and looking for fruits
and objects that are hidden in our classroom. Then, the teacher opens the box that she
brought before. In the box, there are different colored papers to make the children
group. These colors are red, yellow, green and orange. The children select their papers
and be groups. There will be 4 groups. Then, the teacher starts to explain the process:
In the classroom, there are different fruits and object cards that are hidden. On the
walls, there are numbers on different colored cartoons. These colors are same as with
your group colors. For example, if you choose red paper, then you belong to red cartoon
and will looking for red objects/fruits. You will find the related fruits as said on the
cartoons on the board. For example, in red cartoon, it says 10. Then, you will find 10
red apple or car and stick it to the cartoon. Lets find our fruits/objects! After every
group finishes their matching, the teacher and the children will check it together and
count them again to be reinforced. After this activity, the teacher shows a poster from
the computer which is related with the numbers and objects. For example, for number
10, there are 10 apples beside the number. After showing from the computer, the teacher
will take a hard copy of the poster and hang it on the wall to see every time.

Teacher asks assessment questions to the children to evaluate the learning process.

What else can be used for the matching?

How many children are there in the classroom? Lets count it together.
