RIFTS DREAM TANK

(N.P.C. Only!)

Long before the coming of the Rifts War on Earth, there was another
bitter war being fought! A race that had put aside the petty hostilities
of their ancestry, and was deep into the study of the science's, found
themselves being overrun by a warrior race known as the "Kittani"! This is
the story of a "Hunter/Killer Tank" created during that hateful warfare!
The race that was unsuccessfully defending itself, and its planet,
was known as the "Citsemod"! The Citsemod had emerged as an "Information
Exchange Society" after their period of conquest. Most of Citsemodity had
found bloodshed to be disgraceful, and being of highly resourceful stock,
they simply relinquish their freedom and waited. They fought with the
greatest weapon they knew of, "TRUST"! They hid their information network
from the Kittani for six generations, while they, as a race, learned, and
greatly improved on, the Kittanion Technology of warfare!
They let their children play the mind warping, "Militaristic Games" of
the Kittani, always careful to instruct the Citsemod youth not to offend
their visitor race by winning! Let them fall asleep in their care, and our
chance will soon come!
The childhood games started some friendships between the Citsemod and
Kittani youth, giving older brothers and sisters a chance to infiltrate in
the Kittanion Government on Citsemonia. After the 2nd generation of rule,
it was not uncommon to see a Citsemod wearing simple Kittani weapons. By
the 4th generation of captivity, the Citsemod Underground had filtered
they’re way into the Kittani military. That's when some very interesting
things started to happen!
The Citsemod were slowly taking control of the military bases on there
home world, and the Kittani were helping them do it! After all, why not let
trusted friends handle things, as long as Kittani laws ruled! With such a
short lived race as the Citsemod, all thought of revolution had been lost
with the death of their fore-fathers! Never had it been revealed that the
Citsemod had a race wide Mental-Link. No Kittani had ever mated with any
of the Citsemod (It was impossible, not that it wasn't tried), and had
little notion of how their minds worked. All of Citsemonian citizenry had
been warned long ago (About 16 years, or 4 gen. of Citsemodian history)
not to show how well they worked together as a team! When you know what
everyone else on the team is going to do, you improve efficiency over a
thousand fold!
The Citsemod Mindlink carried information discovered centuries ago by
the long dead fore-fathers of the race. The race now had a nearly complete
knowledge of Kittani weapons and warfare, along with the drive to put it
to good use! They began to combine their new information into the Mindlink
Bio-computer driven network for the next generations to use! They set new
goals for the next generation, Infiltrate and Regulate the trade centers!
Few of the Kittani ever noticed how their own laws on trade regulation
were used against them. They failed to suspect the Citsemod of redirecting
shipments of specific military items. After all, they were never given any
reason to suspect! All the trade made it to it's destination on time, and
un-damaged! The trade system ran so much better under Citsemod care! They
seemed to be so effective in every area they worked. Theft was down by
nearly 60%. That alone was an extensive reason to appreciate the conquest
of Citsemonia. Little did they know that theft was down to 0%, and had
been for nearly five years! I'm not saying the Kittani were careless, or
that their reputation for shrewdness and aggressiveness was undeserved...
I'm just saying that the Citsemod were more then they’re equal in many ways
yet to be seen!
The Citsemod scientists continued in their search for a way to give a
life to machines, and burning out five generations of their people on the
objective, they were very close to their goal! The 8 year Citsemod life
span known to the Kittani was a direct result of this burnout. Using
almost 85% of their brains for the race Mindlink bio-computer, instead of
the normal 6%, drastically reduced their normal 60-80 year life! It did
however have a great advantage of speeding up time needed for discoveries!
In the 20 years of guarding the network from the Kittani, in the same
way their fore-fathers guarded knowledge from their children until they
were ready for it, the Citsemod sciences advanced by nearly 10,000 years.
Tactics used against them were the first to improve, while they waited for
information on Kittani Technologies. Technologies were improved while a
source for raw materials opened! The theories for a new, efficient, energy
absorbing metal was created, adapted, improved, redesigned, and was ready
for testing! As the gifted Citsemod were being trained in the Kittani
Military, the bio-computer learned and improved on Kittani; electronics,
power generation and its use, weapons systems, and propulsion/guidance
systems! If the Kittani version was big and cumbersome, the Citsemod made
it smaller, more streamlined, and much more powerful! If the Kittani had
something with a single function, the Citsemod created a few multipurpose
replacements for it.
Nuclear power theory alone, advanced through the heavy metals stage,
to a gas fusion stage, and finally to a major break through! Materials
were gathered to test the mass-conversion breeder/reactor power plant.
According to the theory, 99.999% of the energy of a conversion reaction
could be harnessed, instead of the 6% energy harnessed by Kittani nuclear
fusion/fission Technology. The sweetest part about the reactor was the
fuel. Almost any solid would work to continue the reaction once it was
started, with by-products of pure water or base metals! The more dense
fuels would convert into heavier base metals. If these same metals were
used as fuel, you'd get a metal so dense, it has no ATOMIC STRUCTURE! The
new metal was dubbed "Ameliorated", and was to be the perfect fuel for a
self feeding micro-conversion reactor, with almost twice the power of any
Kittani reactor!
According to theory, a one micron thin coating of Ameliorated, on any
surface, would make it nearly indestructible! The stuff was computed to
weigh 197 times greater than an equal volume of water, (About ten times
the density of gold!) and is the perfect super non-conductor! It would
reflect heat instantly, and block every known form of radiation! If the
conversion theory proved itself correct, than a piece of Ameliorated the
size of your thumb could power the world for 700 years! A micro-reactor,
with a power core the size of a grain of sand, could power any weapon
system for millions of firings! There was only two problems... starting
the first conversion/reaction, and working with Ameliorated once you had
some! How do you cut a metal that’s nearly indestructible anyway? Leave
that problem for the next generation, we'll work on getting the first
conversion/reaction on line!
Test day was here at last! After billions of hours of mind boggling
thought, they were ready. Tremendous telekinetic pressures were applied to
a normal Kittani fusion reaction generator at full power. The unit began
to collapse in on itself as more fuel and force was added. The test was
being conducted within a specially devised, super telekinetic force field,
hundreds of miles from the nearest Kittani. 400 Citsemod minds powered the
force field, while another 400 constricted the growing plasmatic reaction.
Ingots (weighing tons) of the hardest Kittani/Citsemod metals were added
to the controlled chain reaction within the field. The white hot fireball
in the center began to pulse in a counteraction against the mega-tons of
constant constraint. Another 1,000 ingots were added to the destruction
within the force field. Suddenly it happened!
The prismatic effect of the conversion reaction took the sight of all
who watched, instantly! The conversion reaction went out of control for
that split second, and punctured the force field. The plasma/metal sprayed
everywhere, killing all but six of the science experts. The test was a
complete success! The inside of the test building was covered with a thin
coating of Ameliorated!
Years passed. More theories were tested. Many new discoveries made and
improved. Nano-electronics was born and added to the list of tools for the
fast coming revolution against the Kittani. This was about the same time
the Kittani-Mechanoid war began! Thousands of Citsemod fought beside the
Kittani against the Mechanoids. Several hundred Citsemod were all that
lived to return and share the new knowledge. Uniquely original concepts
and understandings were shared with the Citsemonian Bio-computer network!
Mechanoid tactics and technologies of; Robotics, Bionics, and Genetic En-
gineering, were combined with other stolen knowledge about Cyborgs! That
had always been the missing link for a smart weapons system. How do you
get the system to think for itself?!?
A mad competition for a genetically engineered Cyborg "ULTRA-SENSOR" was
launched! A sensor that could combine Psionics and electronics in one slim
package! After all, Citsemonian Psionics worked some-what dissimilar to
that of both the Kittani and the Mechanoid! Why not expand on the variance
until it becomes a weapon itself! The Mechanoids had their Cyborg bodies
and full racial memory, let us contrive a way to turn them against them-
selves, but only after driving out the Kittani!
While the Kittani military was fighting the Mechanoids, the Citsemod
bio-computer refined the art of "Telekinetic Force Field Manipulation"! They
could build the most intricate of items by injecting plasmatic Ameliorated
into a shaped field, and letting it cool! By trial and error, they could
achieve the 1 micron coating of Ameliorated of their fore-fathers dreams!
Bio-electronics, Ultra-sensor Clusters, and a Wonderfully intelligent
weapons system were integrated into a multiple weapons delivery platform
second to none at the time! A Super Hunter/Killer Tank, with the ability
to upgrade and repair itself, was put into mass-production. A deep love
for the tanks was inspired within the Citsemod race. They had learned the
mistake of the race that spawn the Mechanoids, and were not about to re-
peat it. There was an impenetrable safety program within each tank! If it
went rouge, all knowledge of the Citsemod, along with that of the race's
home world, would be instantly over written! The rouge tank would believe
either the Mechanoids or the Kittani had created it, and seek to destroy
them instead! "Alice" was one of many such "Rouge Tanks"!
Like all the other Citsemod tanks, Alice had a living Bio-Cybernetic
selfprograming neural-networked electronic brain! During an encounter with
a Kittani war-ship in deep space, her impenetrable safety program was
activated! She knew she was a Kittani monster, and hated them for it! She
saw the Kittani escape through the rift opened by the Splugorth, and vowed
to chase them across the multiverse! Everywhere she went, she used her
psionic Super-Mindlink powers to gain new technologies. She created six
remote droids of versatile shape and size to interact with any of the new
life-forms she visited. Some she traded with, others she just took what
she wanted, but always she strove to find and destroy the Kittani!
Alice was given the very best of weapons systems, along with the best
active and passive ultra-sensitive sensor systems, Citsemod science had to
offer. She was a one robot army by herself, with the power to reproduce at
will. She was given programming equal to the bio-computer's on all forms of
Psionics, Robotics, Bionics, Genetic Engineering, Nano-electronics, and
Ameliorated conversion/reactors! What she did with that knowledge on her
long search for the Kittani is merely terrifying!
She developed a super-telekinetically driven particle accelerator that
fired a round, pointed shaft, 1 micron thick and 100 microns long, of
Ameliorated! Each projectile travels at 4 x the speed of sound within a
planets atmosphere, or half of light speed in space, and she fires 1,000
of them at a time! Because of the microscopic size there is no sonic BOOM
to worry about, and the projectiles stay close together. She altered her
programs for the weapons systems. The new programs allowed her to kill an
opponent, but gain the maximum salvage from any battle. Vast knowledge of
several protection and weapons systems used against her was quickly added
to her ever-expanding neural-networked memory core.
As luck would have it, Alice’s search through every rift she could
find had brought her to "Earth"! She'd traveled across both time and space
to satisfy her vindictiveness on the Kittani! Upon landing, she came upon
a highly damaged set of Glitter Boy armor, with a dead pilot. The "Nanite"
Medical Droids, found within the dead pilot, interested Alice. A couple
of hours were spent on removing the nanites for study. Alice’s programming
was highly effected by the limited, yet useful, program's of the nanites.
A curiosity in super miniaturization was born within her, along with an
uncharacteristic desire to learn and improve on innovative technologies.
She spent her first few weeks of earth operation seeking out many of
the technologies of the world around her. She'd discovered and destroyed
some 4 dozen forms of power armor, and 3 advanced towns in a thousand mile
area, when Alice came upon something emerging from a rift.
Alice had her Droids working around the clock to integrate the new
technologies into smaller versions of themselves. After nearly two months
on the project, they had done the unthinkable! They had created the first
Nanite terrorists! She loaded five hundred of the new droids into a tiny,
overpowered, replica of herself, as she viewed the craft that came out of
the rift five miles away. To Alice, this was the perfect test for her new
weapons system. She launched the super small probe at the long-round-thin
vehicle. Just as it landed, a hatch opened on the side of the vehicle, and
in the probe went.
To Alice’s surprise, the probe was grounded as it entered, scarcely
inside the hatch. She forced the super powerful hover jets of the probe,
up to their highest setting, before the probe could again become air born.
Half of the probe's sensor systems were rendered useless, and forty of her
new Nanite droids were crushed by the tremendous strain! Alice wanted to
find out how! Using the probe's electronic brain as a focal point, she
reached out with super-Mindlink. She guided one of the nanites into using
telemechanics on the alien computer system, ascertaining that this craft,
known as an "Inter-Galactic Spaceship", held a control over a powerful
force called "Gravity".
She learned that the beings within the ship could not survive in the
lower gravity of the earth. She had her nanites shut down the artificial
gravity generators and their backup systems. When she was sure the ship's
crew was rendered harmless, she flew to its side. The ship was nearly two
miles long, and another third of a mile wide. Its propulsion and weapons
systems both used gravitational control, extremely similar to, but many
thousands of times more powerful than, the environmental control she'd
shut down to kill the crew!
She had her Driods go to work. They found several hundred giants among
the passageways of the ship. These bodies were thrown out of the hatch,
while Alice was reprogramming herself, and the supercomputer of the ship.
A crazed battle for control started between the two supercomputers! Alice
lost. Alice retained her powers, but her goals and values sub-program was
re-written by the ship's electronic brain. She accumulated new Feelings,
Emotions, and a massive program library of other worldly knowledge. Nearly
half of the 97,000 stolen programs were useless for now, as they concerned
other planets. She did note that most of the new programs concerned Earth!
The ship did an extensive scan of the planet, solarsystem, and galaxy!
It then wrote a highly complex, extremely precise navigation program for
Alice. The program showed hundreds of populated areas both in space, and
on the planet. Within the program was information on; Ley Lines, Nexus
Points, Mineral Deposits, Land Masses, and Likely Rift junction points.
The spaceship than piloted all of Alice’s droids out of itself, and
launched up into space. The robots all returned into Alice, as she sat
there thinking. She had full knowledge of gravitational control, but was
limited by the number of working control units her Droids had taken from
the ship. She had learned considerably before she lost the battle, how to
improve her ultra sensor systems, how to improve weapon or armor systems,
and how to make super-smart mini-missiles. Her only problem was, what would
she do with the new found knowledge?
Alice suddenly realized that her mini-probe was still on the space
ship, but she couldn't remember why that was important to her. Reprogram-
ing her nanites into Techno-Droids, she sent them to manipulate the up-
grading of her magnificently interconnected network of ultra-sensitive
sensors. She knew this would leave her nearly defenseless, but it would
only take seven hours. She would use the time to consider gravitational
propulsion and the weapons systems she'd just learned about.
The gravitational propulsion was based on drastically reducing grav-
ity's force at the Tail of the ship, and increasing it at the Nose. The
ship would "Fall" in the direction you wanted it to go, and at fantastic
speed. The faster you went, the faster you could go! To change course, you
just set your down in a different direction. The best part was, it was
totally inertia-less, friction-less, and soundless!?! It could hit light
speed in one minute, and stop just as fast, even within an atmosphere.
She called up the new navigation program and studied it. There was a
very different kind of math within this program! It had to do with moving
bodies, curved motion, and gravitational forces. The new math was called
calculus, and it was far better than anything she had to work with before!
With the new math, she quickly calculated that her speed, without an over
stressing of her outer hull, would be nearly three thousand miles per hour
within any atmosphere, and unlimited in space! With a few minor additions
to her structure, she could even triple her speed in the atmosphere. It
was just then that she noticed she had company.

After her brief but highly informative encounter, Alice called up the
weapons files she'd stolen from the Inter-Galactic Spaceship. She studied 1
of them particularly well. It seemed to hold a very simple key to increase
the power of her Ion Cannons by nearly 1,000%! She should have seen this
for herself decades ago. It was so simple she'd over looked it, and so had
millions of other weapons designers! Variable Frequency Pulse Lasers had
been around for thousands of years, but no one had thought to apply the
same principle to the rest of the Electro-magnetic spectrum! No weapon was
better devised to do that than the Ion cannon! All she had to do was write
a very simple sub-routine to the targeting program. It was silly no one
had ever done it before. The sensors knew that most of the Ion stream was
reflected off the target and only a tight frequency was responsible for
any real damage. Anyone with a brain could see the way sensors were blind-
ed by the reflections. A sub-routine to narrow the carrier frequencies of
any Ion weapon, to the ones not being reflected, would not only increase
damage, but you would gain a better target lock without all the Ion static
flying around! Instead of having to go single fire, so you could target a
second shot, you could now use a continuous Ion stream against a target...
What a Concept!
The more she thought about sensor interference, the more she looked at
ways to trick other sensors. If reducing sensor static could increase Ion
weapons, what about all the other forms of static? She had long known that
sound could be used as a weapon under certain conditions, but they were
few and far between,... or were they?!? If she could slow down the atomic
movement of the electron... she could destroy anything with just the right
note! She knew how to excite the electron field into a bonding disruption,
with the psionic ability she'd traded for ages ago, how hard could it be
to reverse the process? She did a search through her files, and found
nothing of use there, YET! She would have to think about that one for a
while... nothing like a good theory to keep the brain from going stale.
She thought about the encounter with the Mutated Mind Melter she had
just been through, and a plan came to her! This world needed someone to
guide it back into civilization! With her knowledge of weapons and armor,
who better to guide and control the beings in and around the planet EARTH!
Alice formulated an agenda for her version of world domination through a
network of conversion powered, Bio-Electronic Cyborg brains placed in the
armors she would produce and repair. She knew she could bring peace to the
world, if she could only control the minds of the warriors! All she had to
do was maintain a balance of power until she was ready. She couldn't see
improving on their primitive weapons and armor systems too much, just that
little bit that would put her products and services in top demand!
She looked for an area to establish a power base, and finally decided
on a unique mountain in the southern part of the world! The spaceship had
called it AUSTRALIA! The place was far enough away from everything that it
should be safe from discovery. With gravatonicly powered flight, what was
a few thousand miles of travel anyway. Her new mountain home would be deep
in the heart of what use to be called "The Outback". Alice seemed to know
that the spaceship had been to earth before to have such in-depth knowledge
of the world's history! She wondered when she would see it again.

Alice retained her curiosity for super miniaturization, along with the
uncharacteristic desire to learn and improve on innovative technologies.
She gained a lust for exploration, with a new outlook on all lifeforms in
general. She will not attack first, but she will defend herself and any of
her robots! She has lost her hatred of the Kittani! It was over written by
the Inter-Galactic Spaceship. From an encounter with an earth lifeform, she
also feels the need to be needed... so she's going to set up a base for
armor making/repair, robot making/repair, and weapons making/repair
somewhere in an Island country called AUSTRALIA!

AMELIORATED POWERED CONVERSION REACTOR; A particularly efficient power


source with many advantages over all other known power generation designs!
99+% of the energy produced from a conversion reactor is in the form of
electricity, with by-products of any atomic structure desired. Alice has
used her by-products several times to buy information during her search
for the Kittani. With a conversion reactor, you have all you need to
produce anything, from gems of the finest quality to the most intricate
coins. The metal Ameliorated has some very special properties itself!
Ameliorated is entirely energy absorbent in a cooled state, and takes no
damage from any energy weapon! (Energy weapons break down the atomic
structure of their target, and the Ameliorated metal has no atomic
structure.) However, in a semi-plasmatic state, Ameliorated works like a
Supercharged Battery, with up to 1,000,000 Giga-watts of instantaneous
electrical power per cubic Millimeter! With the enormous temperatures and
pressures involved, any conversion reaction must be housed within cooled
Ameliorated. Citsemod's scientists designed their reactors to use Psionics
for the control of the conversion transmutation. Using "Cyborg like" Bio-
Electronic computer brains, with programming for several psionic powers,
exceptional control is always maintained within these reactors.

SMART WEAPONS SYSTEMS, 4 attacks/round each weapon, +5 to hit:

MINI-MISSLES; Standard as of yet, but she'll be making new kinds, with


a "Nanite Piloting System" for a +8 to hit. She has 4 launchers per face
of her structure (i.e. 6 faces) for a total of 24. The launchers have 150
deg. of 3-axis movement, with a twenty round magazine. These missiles can
easily overlap most targets for multiple hits.

VARIABLE FREQUENCY HEAVY ION CANNON; 4D6 x 10 M.D./attack blast, or a


single, auto calibrating tight beam for 1D6 x 100 M.D., 120 deg. of 3-axis
movement. 2/Face (12) Range 4,000 ft. Re-tunes automatically for max damage
by concentrating the fire into a tight non-reflected frequency, either
with a microwave carrier, or any other frequency of the Electro-magnetic
spectrum! Using Laser as a carrier seems to be quite devastating too most
targets!

PLASMA EJECTOR JETS; Anti-personal weapons. A 6D6 x 10 S.D. fire-cloud


forms in a cone from the weapon. Range 500 feet. 25 foot area of effect at
max range, 60 deg. of 3-axis movement. 4/face (24). Jets can be used as a
Plasma cutting torch within 160 feet, doing 4D6 x 100 M.D., with a tight,
clean cut. Alice has used these jets for mining, and ignites the plasma
in space with liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen for maneuvering thrusters!
VARIABLE FREQUENCY PULSE LASER; Her primary offensive weapons system,
these weapons are remarkable! The first attack with one is at a mear 2D6
M.D., but the sensor network keeps track of which frequency will do the
most damage by noting all reflected frequencies, and instantly re-tunes
the others Lasers to match. The second, and all new attacks, on the same
Targets are at 6D6 x 10 M.D./Range 4,000 ft.! This is accomplished by her
targeting and firing 4 Lasers at exactly the same point on the target. Up
to six targets per side can be engaged in this fashion, with devastating
results. Each Laser has 173 deg. of 3-axis movement. Placement of these
weapons are different than other systems. There are no lasers on her bottom
side, and only 8 on the roof. The 4 walls of the complex have 28 each, and
they can all fire at the same time! She can keep firing them as long as
her reactors last. Alice has a nasty habit of targeting the sound of a
heart beat, even in power armor (and with her super sensor network and her
independent weapons, she can do just that) up to 1,000 ft. away. (Go Ahead
Pal, Make Her Day! Piss Her Off!?!)

BACKUP WEAPONS SYSTEM: 4 attacks/round each weapon, +1 to hit:

SUPER-TELEKINETICLY DRIVEN Particle Accelerator; This vicious little


thing fires a round, pointed shaft, 1 micron thick and 100 microns long,
of Ameliorated! Each projectile travels at 4 x the speed of sound within a
planets atmosphere, or half of light speed in space, and she fires 1,000
of them at once! Because of the microscopic size, there's no sonic BOOM to
worry about, and the projectiles stay close together. This weapon does a
devastating 6D6 x 10 M.D. with a -9 to dodge! (How do you dodge what you
can't see coming?) The range for this weapon in atmosphere 2,500 feet, in
space up to 5 miles. The Accelerator slides into the Mini-Missile Launchers
and uses it's own firing control sensor system for target locking. The
payload is 10,000 shots of 1,000 each. She's thinking of turning these
accelerators into probes to be fired as a Mini-missile, and piloted by two
Nanite droids! (I'm sure glad her alignment changed some, aren't you?)

ULTRA-SENSOR CLUSTERS: Where do I start... These are simply the best


ever seen so far, and she's improving them for jamming! They combine many
other sensors into one impressively concentrated unit; Radar, Sonar, Infra
Optics, Electro-Magnetic, and Radio. Each sensor has its own Neural-network
brain, with all the information Alice has, program into it on: weapons

If 100 or more people are mind linked, they can go into an over-drive
type of mental high gear! Anyone in the Mindlink who knows this ability
can activate it paying the 135 I.S.P.'s. If this ability is used more than
1 hour a day, it will -DRASTICLY- reduce life expectancy! (Bio-Electronic
computers are somewhat immune to this rapid aging, so they are now used as
teachers for the Citsemod youth.) Constant use of this ability for 1 year
will age everyone in the Bio-computer network a full ten to twenty years.
There are many advantages to Using this ability for teaching and research!
After the first year the network could be lowered and everyone that was
part of the network would retain full knowledge from anyone else who was
part of the network... PERMANENTLY! All skills and abilities of a mental
nature are TAUGHT to the Citsemod youth Using the Race wide Bio-computer
network, augmented with bio-electronic Cyborg computers.

SUPER MINDLINK
Range: 20,000ft. per level of experience. (Must be in sight to establish
the link, but after that full range is possible!)
Duration: Special. The link will last as long as I.S.P.'s are spent to
maintain it.
I.S.P.: 100 to establish link, and 12 per hour.
Saving throw: Standard, (Not required if willing).
This ability combines "Super Mind Bond", with a unique type of Telep-
athy developed by the Citsemodian race. The instant ability of sharing of
all knowledge is extended to knowing every thought between those sharing a
Mindlink! Each entity in the link can use any skill or ability of anyone
else in the link. Any Major Psionic with this power can link to as many
others as they have levels of experience, (Alice and her kind are the
exception to this. They can form an unlimited number of links between them
selves at no I.S.P. cost, along with limits set above). Only the Psionic
establishing the Link pays the initial I.S.P. cost, after that the cost
may be paid by any in the link. It should be noted that long periods of

Range: 100ft. per level of experience. (Must be in sight to establish
and control the Manipulation! (i.e. See The Invisible))
Duration: Instant.
I.S.P.: 75 to establish Manipulation, and 5 per change made.
Preparation time: 2 hours of meditation on new shape of field to be
manipulated. This is reduced by 10 min. per level.
Saving throw: None.
This ability has two basic uses; 1, When combined with a T.K. force
field not yet in existence, a shaped field may be erected. 2 Any T.K.
force field already in existence may be altered and shaped in any way.
With this ability, a major psionic can create a hole for breathing, or
weapons firing, or even escape from within his Telekinetic Force Field! Any
shape or size of alteration may be achieved, but an existing field cannot
be added to or lessened, just altered or reshaped! It should be noted that
another T.K. force field will not conform to the alterations unless it is
brought into being by the manipulator. (The only way "Ameliorated" can be
worked with is through this artful ability. The metal cannot be cut, and
any other attempt to work it, other than to inject plasmatic Ameliorated
into a shaped field, and letting it cool, simply dents the metal until it
is destroyed! Remember only within a conversion reaction can "Ameliorated"
be turned into a plasmatic state! "Ameliorated" can be welded with a thin
controlled stream of Super hot plasmatic Ameliorated!)

SUPER BRAINSHIP PSIONICS

SENSE MAGNETIC FIELDS and DISTURBANCES
Range: 1,500ft. per level of experience.
Duration: 15 min per level of experience.

Preparation time: 1 hour of meditation, reduced by 10 min. per level.

Saving throw: None.
Every large object influences the magnetic lines of flux on a given
planet. Certain metals, as well as Electro-Magnetic and electrical/
electronic impulses (Such as Radio and Radar), or natural magnetic fields,
cause a turbulence of these lines of flux. With this ability, any magnetic
field disturbance can be detected. The biggest disturbances in the lines
of flux are caused by the rippling energy surges of a rift. This ability
gives a general direction to magnetic north of any given planet. (Note:
This ability can be fooled by solar flares, and other interference from
the sun.)

SUPER MAGNETIC PULSE MANIPULATION


Range: Special (see below).
Duration: Instant.
I.S.P.: 150
Saving throw: None.
This ability requires a source of magnetic field pulses, not unlike the
ones produced by gravitational propulsion units, or a portable force field
generator. With this strange ability the major psionic can create his own
globe of reality within the space/time continuum. In plain English, with a
strong enough magnetic field, a rift can be opened! The chance of control-
ling the destination of the rift is not so good at first, but it improves
with experience. It takes at least a 7th level of major psionic ability to
learn this art. The psionicly summoned rift can travel across space, as
well as time! At 10th level of psionic mastery, any Dimensional rift seen
before can be recreated with ease. At 15th level a controlled rift has a
65% chance of being created by the wielder of this power. At 20th level,
and with a good working knowledge of Ley Line locations, the psionic can
open a rift from any Ley Line, to any other Ley Line in any dimension!
There is a secondary use of this ability. A highly destructive magnetic
pulse can be generated to knock out any unprotected electronics within a
100ft per level radius. This function will not open a rift...Well it
shouldn't anyway. (You’re the GM... You decide! Who knows what might come
through such a rift, ONLY YOU?!?)

DISRUPT ELECTRON BONDING


Range: 25ft. per level of experience.
Duration: Instant.
I.S.P.: 35
Saving throw: Normal.
This ability goes not work on living matter, but the destructive power
that may be unleashed from non-living solids is "PHENOMENAL"! Just imagine
a miniature nuclear explosion if you will, and you'll see what I mean. By
fixing their sight on a part of an object, the major psionic can explode a
section of that item. The damage from this explosion depends on the level
of the psionic (1D6 M.D. x level of experience). There's no roll to hit or
any chance to dodge, and the save is for the item, not anyone in or around
the item! Anyone within 12ft of the explosion gets their normal save vs.
magic spell to avoid damage. A common tactic is to explode weapons.
