Teaching Philosophy
I believe that we all have the potential to become passionate learners. I am motivated by a desire to foster safe
environments for each and every student, where they are supported and challenged to pose questions about themselves,
the world, and discover their place in it. As a facilitator of learning, I explore alongside my students, individualizing learning
and utilizing balanced assessment to identify and adapt with student needs and celebrate student achievements. I strive to
design units that provide opportunities for students to explore authentic problems, think critically and collaboratively, and
recognize their capacity to create positive change in a rapidly changing world.
