Jae Kim, MD, PhD, FAAP
Dr. Kim is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of California, San
Diego (UCSD) where he is dually appointed in the Divisions of Neonatology and
Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. His special areas of both
clinical and research interests include neonatal nutrition, neonatal bowl injury and
bedside ultrasound. His current active research centers on optimizing human milk
feeding for the premature infant. He is the Nutrition Medical Director of the
Fall Conference: Supporting Premature Infant Nutrition Program (SPIN Program).

The Breastfeeding Coalition of Oregon is a statewide entity committed to building and linking community partners to support,
promote and protect breastfeeding in Oregon. This fall conference serves as our Fourth Annual Meeting, moving us toward the
goals of educating health care providers on improving maternity care practices related to breastfeeding. We promote evidence
based practice as a means to improving breastfeeding initiation and exclusivity rates in all populations.
