Our Commitment to the Community

Through charitable missions, volunteer work and donation drives, Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts actively encourages caring and
sharing within the wider community and instilling greater compassion towards the plight of societys less fortunate.

Our hotels have undertaken numerous initiatives focused on youth development, as well as families and children one of which
is the Youth Career Development Programme (YCDP). Launched in Thailand in cooperation with United Nations Children's
Fund, the YCDP is designed to provide innovative educational and vocational training to disadvantaged youths who may
otherwise be engulfed in crime, prostitution, drugs, exploitation, abuse, and deprivation.

Over the past decade, the programme has successfully facilitated access to training and employment opportunities in the
hospitality industry to hundreds of young men and women from underprivileged families beneficiaries of the Rajaprajanukrow
Foundation mainly from the Northern and Northeastern provinces of Thailand.

In 2015, Pan Pacific Hotels Group launched a culinary initiative in Singapore targeted at enhancing the meals at some of the local
charity homes.

Our culinary initiative:

As part of Pan Pacific Hotels Groups commitment to respect and care for the wider community, we launched the Eat Well With
Us corporate social responsibility initiative in partnership with the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) in Singapore in
2015.

We harnessed the collective experience of senior chefs from the Groups five Singapore hotels and Si Chuan Dou Hua restaurant
to enliven the meals served at four charity homes under the umbrella body of NCSS. The chefs had specially created the recipes
which took into account the homes food budgets and dietary needs of the beneficiaries to empower their resident cooks with
relevant skills that will add a new dimension to their cooking.

This year, we expanded the programme to include cooking classes for older children at Chen Su Lan Methodist Childrens Home
and young women at Dayspring Residential Treatment Centre, as well as baking classes for women from low income families at
Bakery Hearts.

Eat Well Do Good


To mark World Food Day on 16 October, Pan Pacific Hotels Group will be donating 16% of our total dinner sales proceeds from
the following all-day dining restaurants at our Singapore hotels from 3 to 7 October 2016. All proceeds will go towards
purchasing food parcels, which will be distributed to 1,600 families in need islandwide in collaboration with the Peoples
Association.

Future plans

The Benefits:

Improved Call Management

Pan Pacific has improved call management through the Avaya Communication Manager, BCMS and Modular
Messaging solutions. Communication Manager an open, scalable, highly reliable and secure application ensures
user and system management functionality, intelligent callrouting, application integration and extensibility, and
enterprise communications networking. Voice and data have been organized and routed more efficiently to the right
agent. The company has been able to monitor calls and allow for the efficient planning of resources through BCMS
call reporting features. Our call center capacity is well set up for the future. Having reporting and information
tracking capabilities is a good start for us, as our agents will be able to have all the information at their fingertips,
said Mr Fancourt.

Enabling Staff Mobility

The Avaya solution has enabled staff to enjoy more mobility. With the IP-based infrastructure, coupled with Avaya
Modular Messaging, staff have been able to receive calls, download information and receive messages even when
they are out of the office. Besides improving our call management process, we will be able to provide true mobility
which allows our customers and hotels to reach the corporate management through Modular Messaging and its voice
messaging capabilities. This is most important for us as it signals our enhanced service commitments to our
customers. It also means increasing our business value to our customers and properties as we interact with them
more effectively.

Proven technology, trusted partner

We did our research before choosing a technology vendor. We wanted a partner we could work with. Avaya is
well known in the industry. Avaya has solid R&D processes and develops applications that best fit our
requirements, said Mr Fancourt. Mr Fancourt was pleased with the solution as it is based on sound and
proventechnology. Avaya is an innovative company and I believe weve made the right decision for the future.

Extending Mobility Capabilities

Now that the Avaya solution has been completely implemented and deployed, Pan Pacific is considering further
extending the mobility capabilities of the solution in Singapore with wireless phones on PDAs. Additionally, Avaya
solutions have been deployed in Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside and Village Centre, Canada, the purpose built
Pan Pacific Seattle, USA and Pan Pacific Manila. Plans are in process to implement the product in hotels in Jakarta
and Dhaka in the near future.
