ATM Security
The ATM can be fitted with a Fluiditi security system which is designed to protect the

will render the notes valueless by spraying them with indelible ink.
Replenishment Security
The cassettes can be transported and replaced using the Fluiditi CarrisafeTM which is
designed to protect the cash during ATM replenishment. The currency cassettes are locked
into the ATM, giving automatic protection from replenishment attacks.
Safety Information
The risk of equipment damage or personal injury can be reduced by strictly observing the
following safety precautions when performing first line maintenance on the NCR Front
Access Dispenser.

JAM CLEARANCE
To clear a jam proceed as follows:
1. Access the module as described in your ATM Overview publication. Enter supervisor
mode.
The indication of a dispenser or shutter jam is an error message which identifies where
the jam is located. The procedures for clearing a jam depends on the jam location
within the dispenser or shutter. The following table indicates the procedure to follow
for each error message.
Error Description Go To
Bill jam at the pick sensor/module Step 2.
Bill jam in the main transport Step 5.
Bill jam at sensor 1 or a purge bin overfill Step 8.
Bill jam at sensor 2,3, 4, or 5 Step 11.
Shutter jammed open Step 13
Note: Currency can be jammed in multiple locations along the note path. All jammed
currency must be removed before placing the ATM back in service.
2. For jams located at the pick sensor/module, lift the green catch on the right-hand side
of the currency cassette indicated in the error message (cassette position 1 is the top
cassette) and pull the cassette out of the dispenser.

5. For jams located in the main transport, remove any visible jammed currency,
including any stuck at the metal plate at the back of the cassette position. These may
be removed from the rear of the dispenser, or by removing the relevant cassette and
accessing the jam through the hole vacated by the cassette.
6. If the jam is not accessible, turn the wheel on the side of the dispenser counter-
clockwise until the media enters the stacking area in the main transport.
7. Insert your hand through the hole in the side of the dispenser as shown, and remove
any currency from the stacking area. If the currency is not accessible from here, insert
your hand between the transport belts on the top of the dispenser to remove the
currency from the stacking area. Ensure that the top transport belts are aligned
correctly after currency has been removed.

purge bin whilst it is in position. Remove the door (see Emptying section) and then
remove the jammed currency. Replace the door.
