What The Present Tense?

- Simple present tense is a verb form to state the facts, habits, or events that occur at
this time
- Sentence that declares an act or activity taking place or happening at the present time
in the form of a simple or work that is done repeatedly, daily habits, and to express
general truths
- Used to show ordinary actions / habits

The Form Of The Present Tense


- Nominal Form
verb is to be (is, am, are)
(+) s + V + complitmen
(-) s + V + not + complitmen
(?) V + S + comlitmen
Ex : (+) she is very poor
(-) she is not very poor
(?) is she very poor?

- Verbal Form
Note : i, you, they, we use DO
He, she, it use DOES + s/es

For I/You/They/We
(+) S + V + Complitmen
(-) S + Do + Not + V1 + Complitmen
(?) Do + S + V1 + Complitmen

For He, She, It


(+) S + V1 + Es/S + Complitmen
(-) S + Does + Not + V1 + Complitmen
(?) Does + S + V1 + Complitmen

Ex :

(-) we do not go to school every day

2. (+) He watches movie in the evening

Present Tense Used To Indicate :


1. Habitual Action
Used to declare an act that becomes a habit that is often done

Adverb :

Ex :

- I usually wake up at 5 oclock in the morning


- He normally goes to the school at 7 oclock every day

2. General Truth
Used to express a general truth or an event that can not be denied (from the beginning
until now has not changed)

Ex :

Note:
Keep in mind, if the interrogative sentence is used in the third person singular (he /
she / it) on Form Verbal, then the verb did not get anything extra:

If you want to create a sentence denying, then added not (not):

- Behind To Be (Is / Am / Are) On Form Nominal

- Behind The Do Or Does The Verbal Forms

Sentences In The Form Verbal Got A Bantu Word (Can / May / Must)
If the sentence in the form of verbal got helpers (can / may / must) then the addition of the
