1) Captain Ahab only talked to
Fedallah because he can see the
future.
2) Fedallah sat up on the sail at night
and watched for whales because he
wanted to find Moby Dick.
3) Captain Ahab was so obsessed
about Moby Dick until he slept on
the table with his map. One night,
Fedallah shouted because he saw
Moby Dick.
4) Captain Ahab was very happy and
he gave order to put the sails up (to
make the ship stop). However, the
whale disappeared after a while.

5) Queequeg cleaned his harpoon
and looked at the ocean. Captain
Ahab said Moby Dick will come
again later.

1) After many weeks, they lost Moby
Dick. Pip, the cook boy, had to
replace one of Stubbs men because
he brokes his arm. At first, Pip was
nervous but he felt happier at the end
of it.

2) In Pips second trip, he jumped out
of the boat because Moby Dick
swam around and hit the boat. The
harpoon rope caught him. The whale
swim away fast and pulled Pip.
Tashtego cut the rope and saved Pip.
3) In the third trip, Pip jumped again
because Moby Dick hit the boat.
Stubb left him in the ocean. Pip was
afraid and stayed in the ocean for a
long time. Stubb sent Pequod for Pip
and he climbed the rope. Captain
Ahab saved Pip.
4) After that day, Pip was a different
person and he followed Captain
Ahab everywhere. Captain Ahab was
kind to him. Starbuck was angry
because Pip thought Captain Ahab as
a god.
1) The oil barrels on their ship were
leaking. They lost oil in the ocean.
Starbuck told Captain Ahab to stop
the ship. Captain Ahab refused and
ignored Starbuck. However, Captain
Ahab realized he needed to stop the
ship to keep sailing. He decided to
stop the ship for a while.
CHAPTER
2) The crews had to work hard on the
barrels including Queequeg. He
worked hard and slept outside at
night to escape the heat. After 3 days
of doing all the hard work, Queequeg
had a fever. He felt like he was going
to die. He told his friends to make a
coffin for him.
3) Ishmael and the others were
shocked and sad. They prepared
Queequegs coffin. Once it was
done, Queequeg tried his coffin and
asked his friends to put harpoon,
food and water into the coffin. The
coffin was put beside his bed.

4) The next morning, Queequeg said
that he could not die yet. He said he
will die later and went to work.
Nobody could understand him.
1) They continued hunting whales
for oil. At the same time, they had to
be careful because sharks came to eat
the whale carcasses around their
boats.
4) Ishmael was so scared and he
believed only Starbuck can help him.
He wanted Starbuck to be the captain
of the ship

2) Captain Ahab dreamed again

harpooned Moby Dick. The whale
swam away and pulled the boat with
it. His son was only 12 years old.
4) Captain Gardiner was devastated
and left The Pequod. After the
encounter with The Rachel, Captain
Ahab told Pip to stay in his room
because the next days will be very
dangerous. Captain Ahab got ready
to fight Moby Dick. He stayed
outside all day, ate and slept outside
in his dirty clothes.
CHAPTER

5) The crews witnessed many large
black birds flew down from the sky.
It flew to Captain Ahabs head. This
shows premonition that something
bad will happen soon to Captain
Ahab.
1) Captain Ahab talked about his
hard work, little sleep and little
money to Starbuck. After he married
his wife, he left on a whaling ship the
next day for three years. Starbuck
suggested to return home but Captain
Ahab refused.
2) Captain Ahab continued looking
and waiting for Moby Dick. One day,
Moby Dick appeared in front of
them. The whale shone under the
morning sun and birds followed him
and flew above him.
3) Captain Ahab was very excited
and he got the boats. However, they
did not have many boats after the
strong winds.
4) The huge white whale came up
under Captain Ahabs boat. Fedallah
and his men jumped into the ocean.
Captain Ahab did not jump. He tried
to fight the whale. However, he
could not move easily without his
whalebone leg. Suddenly, Moby
Dick went down into the water again.
Moby Dick did not come back that

5) After the encounter, Captain Ahab
announced that the gold was his

boat. The harpoon rope tangled
around Captain Ahab. He tried to cut
the rope but with no avail. Moby
Dick swam deeper into the ocean
bringing Captain Ahab to his death.
4) Ishmael was the only survivor on
the boat. He looked toward Pequod.
There was only one sail above the
water. Queequeg was at the top of the
sail. Pequod finally drowned with the
rest of the ship crews.
5) Ishmael was hanging onto the
broken boat when Queequegs coffin
floated in front of him. He got into
the coffin and paddled for a few
days.
6) After a few days, Ishmael found
The Rachel. Captain Gardiner
welcomed him with open arms and
gave him shelter.
