DEFINITIONS

The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE)

Energy Efficiency Measures (EEM)

Adjustments to building system and controls or equipment installations that result in lower energy use.

Energy Service Company (ESCOs)

a company that identify energy improvements, provide the capital required to install improvements,
offers turn-key installation services, and guarantees energy savings.

Investment Grade Audit

a comprehensive energy audit that seeks to identify all cost-effective investment opportunities through a
combination of engineering analysis of energy-using systems and economic analysis of possible energy
saving measures.

1.1 Summary of Appoach

Energy audit is propose to determine where, when, why, and how energy is used in a facility, and
to identify opportunities to improve efficiency.

The Audit typically begins with a review of historical and current utility data and benchmarking of
building energy use with similar building.

Level I

Identify no cost and low cost energy saving opportunities and a general view of potential capital
improvements.

Activities include an assessment of energy bill and a brief site inspection of your building.

Level II

Identify no cost and low cost energy saving opportunities and a general view of potential capital
improvements.

The Company wants to indentify way to reduce energy use and cost in its facilities throught a
wide range energy projects.

We want to use any utility incentives that might be available for the recommended projects.
