rebound number for each of the five positions for each block need to be calculated first.
This is done by summing up the five trial values for each position individually and
then dividing the answer by 5. This process is repeated for each of the three blocks.
Table 1 below shows the average rebound number for each of the five positions for block 1.

We do not expect there to be any correlation between the rebound number and strength
because the rebound number is a relative surface hardness property, and so, there is no
physical relationship between it and other properties of concrete such as its strength.
However, there is an empirical relationship between the rebound number and strength, and
in general, the higher the rebound number the greater the strength of the concrete,
provided the concrete mix and aggregate size are the same.
