Finish reading One Crazy Summer by Rita Williams-Garcia.
If youre a new ASGL student, you should start from the beginning.
During the first week of school, there will be a test on the characters, plot, and
themes of the novel. Use the study guide to prepare yourself for the test.

Assigned Reading: Free Choice Book (25 Points)

Choose any novel (fiction) to read.
The novel should be within your reading range (not too easy, not too
hard).
The novel must be at least 100 pages.
Complete the Free Choice Book worksheets attached.
Be ready to take a test on your book during the first week of school.

Attend a Cultural, Social, or Political Event (25 Points)
