1. How do we know whether we achieved our educational aims?

i) Based on the success of producing quality graduates and meet the demands of the job.
- One of the factor of unemployed graduates, the quality of education, graduates who
choose a job
- first class graduates who failed to fulfill working requirement has become common.

ii) By evaluate the effectiveness of the initiatives outlined in Malaysian Education

Blueprint 2013-2025.

- Regional Transformation Programme, LINUS, higher order thinking skills, mastery of


English, Strengthening Curriculum Islamic Education and Moral Education and so on

iii) Reflected in the level of reliability of our students when measured with other countries.

Take for example the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS)

- in 2011 when the country recorded the most significant decline among all 59 countries
surveyed

2. Can you state the National Educational Philosophy?

Education in Malaysia is an on-going effort towards further developing the potential of


individuals in a holistic and integrated manner, in order to produce individuals who are
intellectually, spiritually, emotionally and physically, balanced and harmonious, based on a firm
belief in and devotion to god. Such an effort is designed to produce Malaysian citizens who are
knowledgeable and competent, who possess high moral standards and who are responsible and
capable of achieving a high level of personal well-being to contribute to the betterment of the
nation, family and society

-people produce a balanced and harmonious in terms of 'JERI' - physical, emotional, spiritual,
and intellectual.

-individuals who have the balance of this JERI knowledgeable, virtuous, responsible, competent,
capable of achieving well-being, and contribute to the betterment of the family, society and
country.
3. Can you state the National Philosophy of Science Education?

The National Philosophy of Science Education states that, In consonance with the
National Education Philosophy, science education in Malaysia nurtures a science and
technology culture by focusing on the development of individuals who are competitive,
dynamic, robust and resilient and able to master scientific knowledge and technological
competency. With this philosophy, science education, therefore, is aimed at developing
the potentials of individuals in an overall and integrated manner so as to produce
Malaysian citizens who are scientifically and technologically literate, competent in
scientific skills, practice good moral values, capable of coping with the changes of
scientific and technological advances and be able to manage nature with wisdom and
responsibility for the betterment of mankind.

4. What does the National Education Philosophy mean to you?

-The National Educational Philosophy play an important role as act as bench mark for
educators to produce students with knowledge and high moral integrity are also in line
with the national goal of developing the next first-class generation

-Increase the productivity in the process of teaching and learning

-Guidance the effort to develop and promote education
