Alarm
When alarm (fixed detectors or personal monitor) sounds at 5 ppm., stop work and evacuate
to a safe area immediately
Call for help, horn, whistle or call by phone or radio
Move up wind if release is downwind of you or move cross wind if release is upwind of you
Move to higher ground if possible.
Assess
Do a head count & Consider other hazards
Protect
NEVER return to the hazardous environment without proper PPE or without assuring that
workplace recovered to the acceptable exposure limits.
Rescue
Do not attempt to rescue any victim without calling for help.
Put on breathing apparatus (BA) & proper PPEs before attempting rescue
Remove the victim to a safe area.
Medical Aid
Call Fire & Security Dispatcher for Ambulance and/or arrange transport of the victim.

Assign strenuous work during

Rotate workers in strenuous, hot
jobs so no one is exposed too
long.
Shield or enclose sources of
heat (like furnaces) to minimize
radiant heat.
Drink a lot of cool water.
Take frequent breaks in an air-

Any workforce who normally

law of Kuwait in switching
working hours to start early

Reporting applies to all Incidents, Near misses, Unsafe Conditions or Unsafe Acts:
All JO employees
After notifying F&S Dispatcher, employees immediately report to supervisors.
Supervisors immediately start a preliminary investigation and submit Incident Report based
upon reporting requirements
