SUBJECT: Establishing Policy for Office Symbols of the 81st Trp Cmd, ADT Missions
1. References. Army Regulation (AR) 25-52, AR 25-59, and the TCR 25-52 that establishes office symbols for
the staff sections and for organizations of the 81st Troop Command.
2. Purpose. This memorandum for record contains basic symbols assigned to each level of the 81st Troop
Command Agribusiness Development Team. These symbols are applicable within the continental United
States, its territories, and processions.
3. Summary. Office Symbols are used to identify the originators of correspondence within the 81st Troop
Command. A basic symbol is assigned to each company or higher level organization. Additional letters are
added in increments of two to form primary office symbols, secondary office symbols or unit designation.
4. Specifics. The basic office symbol of the 81st Troop Command Deployment mission will normally be
limited to five letters (TCEDZ). The symbol TC represents 81st Troop Command. The symbol (EDZ) represents
the Echelon Deployment Command.
a. Primary Office Symbols will normally be limited to seven letters. Likewise, adding the symbol (ADT)
represent the mission Agribusiness Development Team.
b. Secondary Office Symbols will be limited to nine letters, the primary office symbol and three additional
letters hyphenated onto the end of the primary office symbol. Secondary office symbols further identify specific
positions/subdivisions or sections assigned.
