Dear Immigration Officer,

This letter is regarding employment of Madhuri Trivedi at Wyss Institute, Harvard University.
Madhuri will be eligible for a full time job that may be an existing or new position. Her job
title/job role would be Lead Software Engineer or the equivalent in a software engineering
role/capacity Her responsibilities may include the development of publicly available software for
calculating the 3D and functional sites of protein interactions and complexes from genomic
information. Madhuri would be expected to oversee version control of code development, turn
research code into pipelines for use by internal researchers as well as collaborators, and
develop publicly available software in the research area of identifying evolutionary constraints
from sequences; will also work with the researchers as the project manager for collaborations
with other faculty on structure determination of membrane proteins and complexes. This
position is Salary Grade 057 has a range of starting salary of $60,200 to $102,200. Our
software development group is located at the Center for Life Science Boston Bldg., 5th Floor, 3
Blackfan Circle, Boston, MA 02115.

The Wyss Institute is a rapidly growing organization with many R&D projects that require
programing and related skills. Madhuris experience qualifies her for the following duties and
she will be performing such duties when hired (it may vary based on the project she is working
on):

Lead software design and development /product development for products and systems. Work
on full product development life cycle of requirement gathering, requirement analysis, high level
design, development, testing. Interact with teams to promote consistency and maximize
synergies across software platforms. Work with interdisciplinary teams including robotics,
manufacturing, and instrumentation. Collect and document feedback, and identify necessary
metrics to measure and optimize various system parameters against functional requirements.
Documentation, human interface design, contribute in the preparation of demonstration
prototypes, internal reports, patent applications and presentations.

Developed as an alliance between Harvard and other premier academic and clinical partner
institutions, Institute faculty and staff collaborate in high-risk, fundamental research and science-
driven technology development. A major focus of the Institute is to translate the technologies
developed by its faculty and staff into commercial products and therapies through collaborations
with clinical investigators and establishment of corporate alliances.
