Prefixes and suffixes

ThedesignationsofmostSKFrollingbearingsfollowasystemthatmayconsistofabasic
designationwithorwithoutoneormoreprefixesand/orsuffixes,asshowninthetableand
theexamplesbelow.

Prefixesandsuffixesprovideadditionalinformationaboutthebearing.

Prefixesaremainlyusedtoidentifycomponentsofabearing.Theycanalsoidentifybearing
variants.

Suffixesidentifydesignsorvariants,whichdifferinsomewayfromtheoriginaldesignor
fromthecurrentbasicdesign.Thesuffixesaredividedintogroups.Whenmorethanone
specialfeatureistobeidentified,suffixesareprovidedintheordershowninthetablebelow.
