ABM 635: Agro processing Management (2+0)


Production of food grain, fruits, vegetables, milk and meat and their processing

of food products-cleaning, drying, grading, packaging, storage and
transportation. Post harvest processing losses and their management for loss
reduction. Value addition in food products. Food quality and safety standards of
agricultural raw and processed material. Present status and future demand of
various food processing units e.g. cleaners, driers graders, storage structures,
packaging units, rice/flour mills, dal dehuller, oil expellants etc.

ABM 636: Renewable Energy Resources Management (2+0)


Present status of conventional energy resource against total energy demand of
country. Renewable energy sources-bioenergy, wind energy and solar, tidal
energy and geothermal energy. Significance of bioenergy, wind energy and solar
energy in rural economy. Community bio-gas plant for cooking, lighting, running

Semester- IV
ABM 649: Management traineeship project (15)
The traineeship is designed to provide the students with an opportunity to work
closely with experienced managers in an organizational setting. Every student
will select a research project in his / her filed of specialization in consultation with
the advisor / head of the department and will submit a written project report. The
report will be evaluated jointly by the external and internal examiners who will
also conduct viva-voce based on the project report.
