1. It must be your own project, not your mother’s or your spouse’s. It’s been proven
that only a person who has made a decision consciously and does the cleansing for him
(her) self alone has a very strong determination to get well and gets great results.
2. Prepare yourself mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
a. Mentally
i. Set your house and business in order. When the task is complete, it closes the
circles that we open every time we start a new project. Unfinished tasks drain
energy, accomplished ones free it.
ii. Accept and embrace the opportunity to relax. Leave your laptop, cell
phone and any other gadgetry at home. The body needs rest in order to repair.

b. Emotionally
i. Think positive, act positive, be positive. Kiss the life, and it will kiss you. Embrace
the world, and it will embrace you. The happier and more upbeat you are to the
experience, the more you will get out of it. You are the only one who sets the tone
for the day, and you are the only one who can allow or not allow others to get you
off the “happiness alley.”

c. Physically
i. Over the years we have specially designed preparation steps for successful whole
body detox. It is very important to do three items on a daily basis two weeks prior
to starting the journey to healing.
1. Drink 8-10 cups water daily. Spring water is the best. One of the
simplest ways to stimulate the liver to detoxify, as well as providing a tasty
way to make drinking more water pleasurable is adding fresh squeezed
lemon juice to it. Just cut a piece and squeeze with your hand right into the
glass.
2. Green salads and green smoothies. A variety of greens, such as frisee
and lascinato kale, spinach, sorrel, parsley, organic spring mix, butternut,
oak and romaine lettuce, Swiss chard and collards, as well as a handful
of alfa-alfa leaves or sprouts, and even some beet and carrot tops, lambs
quarter’s, chick weed, plantain, stinging nettles, clover and dandelion from
your garden – all will do. Blend of several fresh fruits and some greens
together is called green smoothie, and is a great way to get an energy
boost and healthy
3. Go to bed at 9:00. This one is the most crucial of all. Your body needs a lot
of energy to remove the build up it has stored for years. You can, probably,
testify that most pains intensify at night. Night is the time when body
not only recharges, but also actively does cleansing and healing. Give it a
chance.
d. Spiritually
i. When you set out to do a whole body detox, it is crucial to take the 15 min. every
morning to create a list of Gratitude. Early mornings are the best and walks are
perfect. Just think or write about things you’re thankful to God, Universe, your
family, life for 15 minutes. You’ll be surprised: it is not that easy at first, after years
of whinnying and complaining habits. Yet how can we expect to be positive and
happy people, if spend little time (or not at all) thinking about good things??! It is
crucial to fill ourselves with positive thoughts. Try it, you will love it. Opera does.
ii. The most important tool you need to be successful in any life endeavor is an open
mind. A detoxifying program is no different. Spirituality is best described by the
word growth. If you say: I know it all – watch out!
3. Buy a little journal. Start writing in it: why you want to get well, why you deserve to
be well and how will you benefit by being well. Create positive, realistic rewards for the
“promises” you make to yourself in terms of health.
4. Whether you do it at home or at the retreat, it is very important in which order
you cleanse your body organs. Improper detoxifying can not only be inefficient,
but also harmful. For example, if you start cleansing liver before colon, there will not
be free outlet for toxins, and they will be reabsorbed and poison your body. The same
if you start cleansing joints before blood, the dissolved crystals of uric acid will not
be eliminated properly, as concentration of toxins in the blood will be higher than in
the joints. As a result the toxins can start damaging the joints, deteriorating possibly
already existing arthritis.
The order in which to cleanse the body may somewhat differ in different books. Dr.
Schadilov recommends the following sequence:
a. Colon & Small Intestines
b. Liver
c. Lungs
d. Body Fluids (lymph, blood, interstitial fluid), blood vessels, skin & kidneys
e. Joints & Connective Tissues

P.S. The Detox of separate organs is quite relative, as anything that cleanses colon,
cleanses blood, drinking a lot of liquids which is important for detox of any organ
cleanses kidneys etc. However it does not rule out the necessity of gradual cleansing.
5. Have three 30 min walks daily. Oxygen promotes better blood circulation. When you
do not have oxygen in your blood, your blood gels up and looks like shoe goo. No walks -
no good results.
6. Celebrate your failures leading to successes. Can you imagine, I have not had a cup
of coffee for almost a month! Wow. Good girl/boy!
7. Daily dry brush your skin using a natural-bristle brush to improve lymphatic
flow and circulation. Some women were even able to get rid of stretch marks using
this powerful technique. Do it in the morning or at other time when you are not sweaty,
and yes! you do it without water. The brushes you need are sold in health food stores, as
well as in other
places, they might be even in dollar stores. Start brushing gently, and as your body gets
used to it (in time), do it more vigorously, stimulating the skin until it becomes pink in
color. Do only what feels good.
The general direction of brushing is from the extremities towards the heart using a
circular scrubbing action or long strokes (again towards the heart).
- Start with a firm finger massage just below your collarbone (both sides) and then
on both sides of the groin at the top of your thighs.
- Take up the brush and scrub the soles of your feet, the rest of your feet and upward
over your legs
- Brush over your stomach and buttocks
- Brush the palms of your hands, the rest of your hand and upward along your arms
- Brush from your neck to your shoulders and down your back (this is where a brush
with a removable handle is useful).
[women may want to avoid brushing their breasts or to do it very gently]
8. Jump on a rebounder exercise to flush the lymphatic system.
Bouncing for 2 minutes with feet in contact with the mat of a rebounder (called the
Health Bounce) will flush the entire lymphatic system. Perform the Health Bounce at
least 5 times during the day or every hour for maximum effect.
P.S. Check with your doctor whether you have any contraindications.
9. Practice deep breathing when outside, or in yoga and tai-chi classes.
Oxygen delivered through deep and relaxed breathing alkalizes the body.
Even 2 or 3 breaths can alter the body’s pH as well as lower stress. Slowly breath
in (through nose) as much air as you can, hold as long as you can, and breathe out
(through nose or mouth) all the air, emptying the lungs till their “last drop”. At first do
just a few exercises, overdoing it might leave you light headed and dizzy.
10. Walk in the morning dew or snow for 5 min daily. It wakes you up and improves
circulation. Many toxins that are stored in the feet will be released into the soil/ ground.
11. Be ready to make lifestyle changes. If you continue the same lifestyle you led before
the cleansing, your body will come back to the toxic state it was in before very quickly,
as will all your disease symptoms. You might not be ready for very drastic changes, and
those might not be necessary. As long as you are willing to grow gradually, this is all
that is needed.
12. Find something that motivates you to find health. For every person it will be
different. For example Bill Bartman, one of 25 the most rich people of North America,
was motivated to study by writing a name of his girlfriend’s sister and putting it up on
the wall where he studied on the level with his eyes. That girl did not believe that Bill
was worthy her sister. To prove the opposite, Bill studied hard. Every time he was ready
to give up, he just looked at the card with the name and read one more page or chapter.
What moves you, what are you passionate about? Who needs you to be around in 10
years from now? Whatever your motivation is, remind it yourself when that point comes
where you feel like you are ready to give up.
Have you been searching for the next step in your life that will catapult you
